Pioniers avoids sweep with shutout against Kinheim

HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Vaessen Pioniers avoided a sweep by recording a 4-0 shutout-victory on Sunday (June 26) against Kinheim.
On Friday and Saturday, Pioniers suffered two small losses after having won its first six games in the second half of the season and ending a 12-game winning streak.
Kinheim collected only two basehits off of three pitchers.
Pioniers-starter Nick Keur gave up the first basehit in the first inning, while closer Sedley Karel gave up the second in the ninth at bat.
Mervin Gario went 3-for-4 for Pioniers, scored once and also batted in one run.
