The Chinatrust Brothers play their home games in Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, as its Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium in New Taipei City is under construction. The club was founded in 1989 as Brother Elephants and played the first-ever in the new Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in 1990. The team then played its home games in capital Taipei City. Originally, the club was an amateur team, founded in 1984 by the Brother Hotel in Taipei City. It then became a professional club in 1989 and joined the CPBL. In December 2013, the team was sold to Hua Yi, which is a subdivision of CTBC Holding. The name was then changed to Chinatrust Brothers, named after both their new and previous owners.

The EDA Rhinos also are playing their home games on another location since August. The team comes from Kaohsiung, but its Chengcing Lake Baseball Stadium is also under construction. Instead, the team now plays at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium, which is the home of Lamigo Monkeys in Taoyuan City.

The Rhinos previously were known as the Sinon Bulls in 1996-2012, who played in Taichung, where it had been founded in 1993 as Jungo Bears. The Bulls were purchased in 2013 by the E-Da Corporation, who moved the club to Kaohsiung. In September, it was announced at a press conference that the club again changed owners and was purchased by Fubon Financial Holding Company, which also owns the Fubon Braves, which plays in the professional basketball league in Taiwan. A new name or its home stadium for the 2017 season were not yet announced.
