Curaçao Neptunus vs. HCAW
When you look to the line score of this game, one can state that it lasted only three innings.
In the first three at bats, Neptunus scored then runs, then hold onto that lead and ended the game in 6½ innings via the mercy-rule.
The game lasted only two hours and eight minutes.
Neptunus scored three runs on only one basehit with two outs in the bottom of the first inning off of HCAW-starter Sander Helmendach.
With one out, Benjamin Dille walked.
With two outs, the bases got loaded when Gianison Boekhoudt and Christian Diaz also walked.
Helmendach then hit next batter Dashenko Ricardo with a pitch, which led to the first run.
Hereafter, Rien Vernooij singled to bring in two more runners and make it 3-0.
A 6-run rally followed in the second at bat to put the lead almost out of reach for HCAW.
Only one run was earned, as lead-off hitter Daniel Fernandes reached on an error, which was of influence to determine the earned runs in the remainder of the at bat.
With Fernandes on first base, Dwayne Kemp was hit by a pitch, then Benjamin Dille reached on a bunt-single to load the bases.
A walk for Raily Legito brought in the first run in the rally.
That was followed by a runscoring grounders by Gianison Boekhoudt and Christian Diaz, an RBI-single by Dashenko Ricardo and a runscoring double by Rien Vernooij.
When next batter Shaldimar Daantji also singled, a pitching change followed.

Neptunus reached the 10-run difference in the third inning.
With two outs, Gianison Boekhoudt singled and later scored on a single by Dashenko Ricardo, who was 3-for-3 and batted in three runs.
In the remainder of the game, the Rotterdam-squad was held scoreless, but left five runners.
Neptunus-starter Orlando Yntema saw HCAW get several baserunners, but threw six scoreless innings.
After retiring the side in the first inning, Yntema gave up a lead-off single to Vince Rooi in the second inning, then walked Kevin Weijgertse.
A strikeout followed, then next batter Kevin Nieveld was ruled out on a not-caught infield fly.
Nieveld popped the ball up in the infield, where short stop Dwayne Kemp completely lost it, probably in the sun, which just appeared at that moment.
As it was an infield-fly situation, it didn't matter that the ball dropped to the ground, as the batter automatically was ruled out.
Yntema ended the inning with a strikeout.
In the fourth, Yntema gave up a lead-off single to Rossini Frolijk, but HCAW would strand two more runners.
The Bussum-club left another runner in each of the next two innings.
Steven van Groningen threw the seventh inning for Neptunus.
He gave up a lead-off single to Kevin Nieveld, but a double play and a grounder then ended the game.
