DSS opened the score in the top of the first inning off of starter Cedric Desmedt.
With one out, Menno Lenting singled and moved on a grounder, then scored when Melvin Perdue reached on an error.
DSS left two runners and the lead was shortlived, as Twins came alongside moments later.
In the bottom of the first inning, off of starter Mike Groen, Twins made it an 1-1 score.
With one out, Shurty Tremus walked and stole second base.
After Jeffrey Arends was hit by a pitch, Tremus scored the tying run on a single by Berry van Donselaar.
After two scoreless innings, Twins took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when Berry van Donselaar led off with a homerun.
Twins then took more distance by scoring three runs in the fifth at bat.
With one out, Jarreau Martina singled, then Shurty Tremus reached on a bunt-single.
Both runners advanced when a pick-off towards second base ended in a throwing error.
Moments later, both scored on a following single by Jeffrey Arends.
Hereafter, Gijs Timmer took over the pitching for DSS and gave up a single to Berry van Donselaar.
Mick Molenaar followed with another basehit and that lifted the lead to 5-1.
Twins was productive in its middle innings today, as they scored two more runs in the sixth at bat.
With two outs, Jarreau Martina walked and scored on a double by Shurty Tremus.
That led to another pitching change, as Max Ploegstra was brought in.
He walked Jeffrey Arends, then gave up a runscoring single to Berry van Donselaar, who was 4-for-5 and batted in three runs.
DSS got another scoring opportunity in the top of the fifth inning.
Mitchel Dautzenberg led off with a single and moved to third base on a grounder by Ryan Miner and a sacrifice bunt by Menno Lenting.
Next batter Koen Halderman then walked, but a force play-grounder ended the at bat.
DSS, which still has to do without its solid first baseman Tino van Erk (hamstring), was limited to only five basehits.
