Kinheim rallies in first inning against DSS, then stops scoring

HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Kinheim rallied for eight runs on eight hits in the first inning against DSS on Thursday-evening (June 30), but then was held scoreless in the remainder of the game.
As DSS also was held scoreless, Kinheim won 8-0.
In the bottom of the first inning, which lasted 24 minutes, Kinheim scored eight runs, including two on a double by Julio Hernandez.
In the next seven at bats, Kinheim added seven basehits, but was unable to add more runs and end the game through the mercy-rule.
DSS was limited to only five basehits by four pitchers.
The game was one of two played tonight.
Two other games were cancelled due to field conditions after rain throughout the previous night, morning and early afternoon.
They will be made up on Friday-evening.
