Twins wins against UVV in slow game
Nederlands
DORDRECHT (Neth.) -
De Glaskoning Twins broke a 2-2 tie with a 5-run rally in the third inning on Thursday-evening (June 30) and went on to win 14-7 against Pickles UVV.
Twins also had a 7-run rally in the fifth inning.
With the loss, UVV now has lost all ten games played so far in the second half of the regular season and extended its overall losing streak to sixteen games.
The game started 10 minutes late due to field maintenance after rain during the day, but the game also was slowpaced.
Only six innings were played before the game officially ended due to the 10:30 PM curfew-rule.
The game was one of two played tonight.
Two other games were cancelled due to field conditions after rain throughout the previous night, morning and early afternoon.
They will be made up on Friday-evening.
