In the fourth, Levine Gabriëls was hit by a pitch with one out and Thomas Bos reached on a bunt-single with two outs, but were left behind.

DSS then struck in the top of the ninth off of new pitcher Daan Hendrix, scoring two runs.

In the seventh, Sven van de Sanden led off with a single off of Burgersdijk, but Pirates then turned a double play.
Burgersdijk retired the side again in the eighth.
In the top of the ninth, Omar Williams led off with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Tino van Erk.
He then advanced on a single by Levine Gabriëls and scored on a following double by Sven van de Sanden.
With runners on second and third base, Thomas Bos grounded towards second base.
Gabriëls left on contact and the ball was thrown to the plate, but then an error followed, resulting in a run.
Van de Sanden advanced to third base on the grounder, then also tried to score on the error, but was eliminated at the plate.

DSS had another productive ninth inning on Thursday-evening (June 1), this time resulting in a 3-1 victory against league-leader L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
