In the opener on Thursday-evening, DSS opened the score in the top of the first inning.
Tonight, the Haarlem-squad came close to doing the same.
Kevin Nieveld led off with a single off of starter Rob Cordemans and stole second base with one out.
Nieveld advanced to third base on a following grounder, but Cordemans kept his cool (as always) and ended the inning with a strikeout.
Cordemans then also got a lead to work with, as it was Amsterdam that opened the score moments later in its first at bat off off starter Lars Vogelaar.
The rookie gave up lead-off singles to Zerzinho Croes and Nick Urbanus, which led to runners on first and third base.
Croes then scored on a passed ball and Gilmer Lampe added an RBI-double to make it a 2-0 score.
With one out, the next run was scored on another double, this time hit by Linoy Croes.
DSS reached base again in the second inning and this time was able to score.
Djewi Appelman led off with a triple and Levine Gabriëls walked with one out.
After Cordemans struckout his second batter in this inning, he gave up a runscoring single to Mitchel Dautzenberg.
With runners on first and second base, Cordemans closed with his third strikeout (his fourth in two innings).
The Amsterdam-offense got productive again in the bottom of the second inning.
Jesse Aussems led off with a double, then next batters Norbert Jongerius and Zerzinho Croes both singled.
Aussems scored on the hit by Croes, which gave Amsterdam runners at the corners.
Nick Urbanus followed with another runscoring single that lifted the lead to 5-1.

In following innings, Rob Cordemans underscored that he remains one of the best pitchers in Dutch baseball.
The 42-year old righthander retired the side in the third, fourth inning and fifth inning.
From the second inning on, he struckout two batters in each at bat in three consecutive innings.
DSS-starter Lars Vogelaar initially also did fine.
After giving the two runs in the second inning, he retired the next three batters.
The righthander then walked a batter with two outs in the third, but he stranded on first base.
In the fourth, Vogelaar retired the side.
Vogelaar's evening on the mound ended in the bottom of the fifth inning in which Amsterdam rallied for five runs.
He gave up back-to-back-to-back doubles, which led to two runs and was then relieved.
Kenny Berkenbosch led off with a double, then scored when an error followed a double by next batter Linoy Croes.
Patrick Bok connected for the next RBI-double that made it a 7-0 score.
Hereafter, Robyn Clara took over from Vogelaar, but the Amsterdam-offence continued.
He was greeted with a single from Rashid Gerard and got the bases loaded with one out when he walked Norbert Jongerius.
Another was then scored on a following single by Nick Urbanus.
Thanks to two wild pitches from Clara, Amsterdam added two more runs to lift its lead to 10-1.
In the top of the sixth inning, Nick Veltkamp took over the Amsterdam-pitching.
He gave up an one-out single to Koen Halderman, who got awarded second base on a balk, but then was left behind.
Amsterdam reached the 10-run, mercy-rule difference in the bottom of the sixth.
With one out, Patrick Bok and Rashid Gerard singled.
The two moved on a grounder, then both scored on a double by Norbert Jongerius to make it a 12-1 score.
Nick Veltkamp retired the side in the top of the seventh inning to end the game.
