Initially, Pioniers had an apparent comfortable 5-1 lead after two innings, but that changed in the third at bat.
Pioniers opened the score quickly with three runs in the first at bat off of starter Kaj Timmermans.
Lead-off hitter Brennan Nijhof reached on an error and Sander Paap singled.
The two scored when Shurman Marlin followed with a homerun.
Hereafter, Pioniers got two more baserunners, but one was caught stealing, the other was forced out.
HCAW got one run back in the top of the second inning off of starter Chris Pfau.
Kevin Dirksen led off with a double and scored on a 2-out single by Rowan van Hoek, but HCAW also stranded two runners.

Pioniers took some more distance by scoring two runs in the second at bat.
With one out, Duco Nuijten and Brennan Nijhof singled.
They then respectively scored on a grounder by Sander Paap and a single by Shurman Marlin.
Trailing 5-1, HCAW suddenly rallied for six runs on seven hits in the top of the third inning to turn the game its way.
Roelie Henrique led off, reached on an error, stole second base and scored on a single by Dylan Koster.
Hereafter, Vince Rooi homered to narrow the deficit to 5-4.
With one out, Seb Visser doubled and Kevin Weijgertse singled, then Rowan van Hoek also singled to bring in the tying run.
The bases then got loaded when Rachid Engelhardt recorded another single.
Chris Pfau followed with a strikeout, but then gave up a 2-run single to Roelie Henrique in his second at bat in the inning.
That made it 7-5 in favor of HCAW and also brought in a new pitcher, as Scott Ronnenbergh took over.
The inning then ended when Dylan Koster lined out.
In the bottom of the third, Pioniers scored another run to make it a 7-6 score.
With two outs, Glenn Bakker doubled and scored on a single by Mark Smit.
Two scoreless innings followed, but then Pioniers re-took the lead when it also staged a 6-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Mark Smit led off with a single, then a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt by Duco Nuijten led to runners on first and third base.
The bases got loaded when Brennan Nijhof walked.
With one out, a pitching change followed, as Tim Niekerk took over from Kaj Timmermans.
Niekerk was greeted with a 2-run single by Shurman Marlin, which gave Pioniers a renewed lead, but also led to the elimimation of Nijhof at third base.
With Marlin on second base, Quintin De Cuba was walked intentionaly, then the two runners advanced when a balk was called.
A walk for Max Draijer then re-loaded the bases and brought in new pitcher Oscar Meuris.
He gave up a 2-run single to Gianni Frolijk, followed by runscoring singles to Glenn Bakker and Mark Smit (his second hit in this inning).
Hereafter, Sedley Karel became the fourth HCAW-pitcher in this inning.
He got a grounder that closed the at bat, but the game had turned the way of Pioniers again.
HCAW was unable to come back in the remainder of the game.
Scott Ronnenbergh retired the side in both the seventh and eighth inning.
Angelo Wicklert then pitched the ninth for Pioniers and also retired the side to end the game.
