ATLANTA, Florida (USA) -
In his third Major League-game, Ozzie Albies hit his first Major League-basehit, which was a homerun!
On Tuesday-afternoon (August 1), the talented infielder from Curaçao was added to the roster of the Atlanta Braves.
In the evening, he made his big league-debut in the first game of a 3-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
On Thursday (August 3), he homered to record his first big league-basehit!

Albies, who played at second base, was 0-for-2 with a walk in his debut-game, scoring a run.
On Wednesday, he was 0-for-3, struckout twice, but also walked again.
In his third game on Thursday, Albies grounded out in his first at bat in the second inning.
In the fifth inning, he walked for the third time in three games and stranded on third base.
In the seventh, Albies led off and struckout.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, with the Dodgers leading 7-1, Johan Camargo and Sean Rodriguez started with singles off of closer Tony Cingrani, who had just entered the game.
That brought Albies into the batter's box.
After the two runners had advanced on a wild pitch, Albies hit an 1-1 pitch into left-centerfield for a 3-run homerun!
The Braves lost 7-4.
For-the-record, the 20-year old Albies became the first Major League-player born in 1997 to hit a homerun.
He also became the youngest player of the Braves to hit a homerun since Andruw Jones, also from Curaçao, was 19 when he homered in 1996.
Five years ago, on September 2, 2012, Jurickson Profar, another talent from Curaçao, homered in his first-ever Major League at bat when he made his debut for Texas Rangers.
Is Albies the first player born in 1997 to play in the Major League, Profar was the first Major League-player born in 1993.
Like Albies, he was the youngest Major League-player when he made his debut.
Profar also played as second baseman.
