ROTTERDAM / HAARLEM / THE HAGUE / VLEUTEN (Neth.) -
Four games in the Championship Pool and Promotion/Relegation Pool combined were canceled on Saturday (September 9).
Due to heavy rain throughout the day on Friday and also throughout the previous night resulted in many fields declared unplayable for today's games.
In total nine of the eleven scheduled games today in the Championship Pool, Promotion/Relegation Pool and in the second highest league ('Overgangsklasse') were canceled.
At the highest level, only one game was played in the Championship Pool, which was the match-up between Hoofddorp Pioniers and L&D Amsterdam Pirates in Hoofddorp.
The only other game played today at the top-sport-level was the one between the second teams of De Glaskoning Twins and Omron Pioniers in Oosterhout.
As of now, all canceled games in the Championship Pool and Promotion/Relegation Pool have been re-scheduled for Tuesday-evening, September 12, starting at 7:30 PM.
However, one site is not yet known, as the home site of Storks has no lights.
With that, Storks will play its home game against Quick Amersfoort at a site to be announced.
It has been rumored that the game might be played at the site of Euro Stars in Capelle a/d IJssel.
Most announced starting pitchers for Saturday's games have now been moved to Sunday.
Only Pickles UVV and Onze Gezellen will begin on Sunday with the announced starters for that day.
They will use Saturday's starters in the make-up game on Tuesday.
