HCAW had runners on second and third base with one out in the top of the first inning off of starter Gilian van Lith, but the lefthander struckout the next two batters.
UVV then scored three runs in its first at bat off of starter Ian Delemarre.
With one out, Bryce Cherry singled and Tijmen Takke reached on an error.
Sergino Martis followed with a 3-run homerun to give UVV an early lead.
HCAW started to come back from the second inning on.
In that at bat, the team scored twice, as it did in the next inning to turn the game its way.
In the second, with one out and Rachid Engelhardt on first base (fielder's choice), the bases got loaded when Seb Visser walked and Dylan Koster singled.
Singles by Roelie Henrique and Boy Tuhumury then cut the deficit to 3-2, but the team also stranded three runners.
In the third, HCAW took the lead by again scoring two runs.
Rowan van Hoek led off with a single, stole second base with one out and scored the tying run on a double by Rachid Engelhardt.
With two outs, Engelhardt moved to third base on a single by Dylan Koster, then scored when an error followed.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, UVV got a chance to do something back.
Brandon Rijnbergen led off with a single off of Ian Delemarre, who then struckout the next two batters.
However, he then got the bases loaded when Bryce Cherry singled and Tijmen Takke walked, but a grounder ended the at bat.
HCAW took more distance by scoring three runs in the top of the fifth off of reliever Kevin van Veen.
Kevin Weijgertse led off with a homerun.
Next batter Rachid Engelhardt was hit by a pitch and Seb Visser singled.
A bunt-single by Dylan Koster was then followed by a throwing error, resulting in a run and runners on first and third base.
It also resulted in a pitching change, as Van Veen was replaced by Jerremyh Angela, who made his first appearance of the season for UVV.
He saw Koster steal second base, then gave up a runscoring single to Roelie Henrique.
The latter advanced on a wild pitch and after a flyout accounted for the first out, a force play was set up by walking Vince Rooi intentionally.
Kevin Dirksen followed with a line drive, but that ended in a double play.
UVV got one run back in the bottom of the sixth via a sacrifice fly by Tijmen Takke, but HCAW added two more runs in the eighth.
With one out, Vince Rooi walked.
Hereafter, an error followed on a force play-grounder by Kevin Dirksen and a walk for Rowan van Hoek loaded the bases.
After an infield-fly, José Moreno became the new pitcher for UVV, but he was greeted with a 2-run single by Rachid Engelhardt.
HCAW again scored twice in the ninth.
Delano Selassa led off with a single.
The rookie had entered the game defensively in the bottom of the seventh and played in his first game since April 29.
Back then, he was hit on his wrist by a pitched ball, which was ruled a foul ball.
He left the game and a fracture in his wrist was diagnosed in the hospital.
Selassa moved to third base on a following double by Roelie Henrique, then scored when an outfield-error was made.
Henrique later scored on a double by Vince Rooi to lift the lead to 11-4.
In the bottom of the ninth, UVV had a productive at bat, scored three runs, but ended up empty-handed.
Closer Sedley Karel took the mound for HCAW, but gave up a lead-off single to Bryce Cherry and walked Tijmen Takke.
With one out, the righthander got the bases loaded when he also walked Mike Bazuin.
A wild pitch then accounted for a run and the bases were re-loaded when Julian Goins also walked.
That led to a pitching change, as Giovanni Tensen took over.
He got a force play-grounder from Berend Ruben, which also resulted in a run, as did a following single from Brandon Rijnbergen.
Tensen then walked Cecil Comenencia to load the bases again, but a force play followed to end the game.
And with this win, HCAW climbed to second place.
