This time, DSS was unable to stage another come-from-behind comeback, especially since Twins had another productive rally in the eighth, scoring six runs to lift its lead to 18-6 and reach a mercy-rule run-difference.
Twins scored its first run in the top of first inning off of starter Donny Breek.
The righthander walked lead-off hitter Jamie Verheyleweghen, but he was forced out on a grounder from next batter Bram Grooten.
Moments later, Grooten stole second base, then Dennis De Quint walked and Melvin Perdue followed with a runscoring single.
With runners on second and third base, the bases got loaded when no outs were made on a fielder's choice-grounder by Nick Peels.
But the three runners were left behind.
Twins added two runs in the second at bat.
With one out, Bob van der Meer walked and Jamie Verheyleweghen reached on an error.
Both scored when Bram Grooten followed with a double.
DSS left a runner behind on first base in the first inning, then stranded two runners in the next at bat.
The Haarlem-squad then rallied for five runs in the bottom of the third.
Twins-starter Mic van de Ven walked lead-off hitter Kevin Nieveld, then gave up a single to Devano Pieter.
A sacrifice fly by Koen Halderman led to the first run.
With two outs, Tino van Erk walked and Djewi Appelman delivered a runscoring single.
Sven van de Sanden followed with a 3-run homerun that gave DSS a 5-3 lead.

That led to a run, but Twins again left three runners behind.
In the top of the fifth inning, Twins decided the game with a 7-run rally.
Christopher Ge and pinch-hitter Menno Lenting both walked, then Robyn Clara took over the pitching from Donny Breek.
He got the bases loaded when Bob van der Meer reached on a fielder's choice-sacrifice bunt, then gave up a 2-run single to Jamie Verheyleweghen, which gave Twins a 6-5 lead.
The bases were re-loaded when Bram Grooten walked, then another run was added when Dennis De Quint also walked.
Hereafter, the bases were cleared when Melvin Perdue followed with a 3-run double.
That led to another pitching change, as Gijs Timmer took over from Clara.
With one out, he saw Twins score another run on a single by Christopher Ge.
The inning ended with a line drive double play.
In the seventh, Timmer got the bases loaded, then his successor Tim Halderman gave up a runscoring single to Christopher Ge, but Twins also left three runners behind for the third time.
Trailing 12-5, DSS scored its final run in the bottom of the seventh on a 2-out single by Tino van Erk off of reliever Jan Evertse, who had just entered the game.
In the eighth, Twins had another rally, this time scoring six runs on four hits.
With the bases loaded, Melvin Perdue delivered a 2-run single.
This was hit 31st basehit of the season, giving him the lead in this category.
Nick Peels followed with an RBI-single.
Reggie Bomberg then became the fifth pitcher this afternoon for DSS.
He got the bases loaded when he hit pinch-hitter Tair Vrutaal with a pitch, but struckout the next two hitters.
Bomberg then gave up a 3-run double to Bob van der Meer that increased the lead to 18-6.
In the bottom of the eighth, Jan Evertse walked the first two batters he faced, but followed with a strikeout.
A double play then ended the inning and also the game, as a mercy-rule run-difference had been reached.
