Today's game was the reverse of Saturday's game.
A day ago, DSS dominated and won 16-1.
Today, it was UVV that ruled the game and recorded a convincing 10-1 victory.
After stranding two runners in the first inning, UVV opened the score with four runs in the bottom of the second inning off of starting pitcher Sander Helmendach.
The DSS-defense committed two errors in this at bat, resulting in two unearned runs.
Lead-off hitter Julian Goins reached on an error, then Jordan Illis singled and the bases got loaded with one out when Cecil Comenencia also singled.
A following walk for Jelle Blaauw produced UVV's first run and also led to a quick pitching change.
Robyn Clara took over from Helmendach, but walked Tijmen Takke to bring in another run.
Hereafter, Comenencia scored on a force play-grounder by Berend Ruben.
With runners on first and third base, a double-steal followed with Blaauw scoring and making it a 4-0 score.
The home team added another run in the third inning.
With one out, UVV got the bases loaded when Julian Goins walked, Jordan Illis reached on an infield-hit and Brandon Rijnbergen was hit by a pitch.
A grounder by Cecil Comenencia lifted the lead to 5-0, but three runners were also left behind.
In the fourth, Reggie Bomberg took over the pitching for DSS, but he gave up a 2-out homerun to Rodney Daal (his third in this Pool), which made it a 6-0 score.
In the fifth, UVV had another 4-run rally, scoring the runs with two outs.
Jordan Illis led off with a double, then scored on a 2-out single by Jelle Blaauw.
Next batter Tijmen Takke also singled, bringing Blaauw to third base, who then went on to score on a wild pitch.
A following single by Sergino Martis brought in Takke, which led to another pitching change.
Tim Halderman took over, but he got the bases loaded when he walked Rodney Daal.
Halderman also walked next batter Julian Goins, which accounted for UVV's tenth run.
A force play ended the at bat and UVV again left three runners behind, but the team now led 10-0 after five innings!
For UVV, this was its biggest lead in a game this season.
Its previous high was a 7-0 lead after four innings on April 15 against De Glaskoning Twins.
Halderman retired the side in the sixth and seventh inning, then was supported with a double play in the eighth.
UVV-pitcher Jurjen van Zijl went the distance and struckout nine batters, needing 111 pitches.
He retired the side in the first two innings, then DSS got its first runner in scoring position in the third.
With two outs, Thomas Bos and Kevin Nieveld singled, but Van Zijl closed with a strikeout.
In the fourth, two DSS-runners were forced out on second base.
The Haarlem-team again got two baserunners in the fifth when Levine Gabriëls and Thomas Bos singled with one out.
This time, the UVV-defense closed with a double play.
Trailing 10-0, DSS scored its lone run in the top of the sixth.
Odion Gouverneur led off with a single, then moved to third base when Tino van Erk singled with one out.
Hereafter, Devano Pieter flied out, which was followed by a throwing error, enabling Gouverneur to score.
Van Zijl struckout the side in the seventh, then DSS saw again two baserunners being forced out on second base in the eighth.
The righthander retired the side again in the ninth.
With that, UVV closed its season with a convincing victory.
However, the result couldn't prevent that the team relegated and will play in the second highest league next year.
