The team was held scoreless in the first three innings by Pioniers-starter Lars Huijer, then scored a run in the fourth and sixth inning.
Maickel Rietel allowed only one more batter to reach base in the final two at bats.
Stijn van der Meer led off the top of the first inning for Neptunus with an infield-hit, but Huijer struckout the next two batters, then a grounder closed the at bat.
With one out in the second inning, Shaldimar Daantji grounded towards short and was ruled safe at first base when first baseman Jeffrey Arends made an error.
Pioniers Head Coach Dè Flanegin argued the safe-call with 1B Umpire Peter Brink.
Hereafter, he made some remarks towards Home Plate Umpire Stenar van Groningen Schinkel and was ejected.
Moments later, Daantji stole second base and advanced to third base on a grounder, but then stranded.
In the third inning, with two outs, Benjamin Dille reached on an infield-hit, but he also was left behind.
Neptunus then opened the score in the top of the fourth inning.
Dwayne Kemp led off with a single and advanced on a grounder by Daniel Fernandes.
He then scored the first run on a following single by Shaldimar Daantji, who was then forced out.
Huijer closed with a strikeout.
After being retired in order in the fifth, Neptunus doubled its lead in the sixth.
Gianison Boekhoudt led off with a double, then moved on a bunt-single by Dwayne Kemp.
When the latter was forced out on a grounder by Daniel Fernandes, Boekhoudt scored.
Moments later, Fernandes was eliminated in a pick-off and Huijer closed with another strikeout.
In the seventh, Huijer was supported with an inning-ending double play.
That followed a single by Darryl Collins, the first while playing in the main-squad.
However, this was not his first official big league-basehit, as the stats of these games are separated from the regular season.

With one out, Gianni Frolijk singled and Sander Paap walked, but this time, a foul-out and strikeout followed.
Pioniers got another runner in scoring position in the third.
Yntema hit lead-off hitter Mervin Gario with a pitch and he stole second base with one out, but then also was left behind.
Now trailing 1-0, Pioniers got its next runner in scoring position in the fifth.
Glenn Bakker led off with a single, but was picked off by catcher Brian Raap.
With two outs, Mervin Gario struckout, but reached on a wild pitch.
He then again stole second base, but Yntema closed with a strikeout.
With a 2-0 lead, Jan Tomek took over the Neptunus-pitching in the bottom of the sixth.
With one out, he gave up a comeback infield-hit to Dudley Leonora, who moved on a grounder, but the Czech then closed with a strikeout.
In the final three at bats, Pioniers was retired in order by Tomek, who earned a rare 4-inning save.
