Twins records small win against Storks

OOSTERHOUT (Neth.) -
De Glaskoning Twins won 5-2 against Storks in its opening game of the Promotion/Relegation Pool on Saturday (August 19).
The 2-game series ends on Sunday in The Hague.
Twins finished the regular big league-season in seventh place, while Storks won the title in the second highest league ('Overgangsklasse').
Twins took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning, scoring two unearned runs, but Storks came alongside in the top of the fourth.
Twins then re-took the lead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring another unearned run.
The home team then took some more distance in the seventh, scoring two runs on singles by Christopher Ge and Jamie Verheyleweghen to make it a 5-2 score.
Twins collected 10 basehits, including two by Bram Grooten and Christopher Ge.
Storks was limited to five basehits by three pitchers, including two by Gino Gil.
