HCAW outhit Amsterdam Pirates 15-11 tonight.
Vince Rooi and Dylan Koster both had three hits for the home team.
Koster also batted in four runs.
Amsterdam opened the score in the top of the first inning off of Ian Delemarre, scoring an unearned run.
Lead-off hitter Remco Draijer reached on an error, then Norbert Jongerius singled.
With two outs, the bases got loaded when Kenny Berkenbosch walked, then the run was scored when Delemarre also walked next hitter Danny Rombley.
However, three runners were left behind when a foul-out ended the at bat.
In the second inning, Amsterdam stranded another runner in scoring position.
With one out, Jesse Aussems was hit by a pitch, then moved to third base on a single by Remco Draijer, but a double play then closed the inning.

In the bottom of the fourth, HCAW narrowed the deficit to 4-3.
The team had left a runner in scoring position in the first inning off of starter Robin Schel.
With one out, Roelie Henrique doubled and moved on a single by Vince Rooi, but they were left behind.
Schel then retired the side in the next two innings.

The first out was then recorded when Kortstam was eliminated at the plate on a grounder by his brother Raoell Kortstam.

Amsterdam took some more distance from the sixth inning on, while the outfield started to disappear somewhat due to ground fog.
Remco Draijer led off with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly by Nick Urbanus to lift the lead to 5-3.
Two runs were added in the top of the eighth off of reliever Moreno Vork.
Jesse Aussems led off with a double, then his pinch-runner Max Clarijs scored with two outs when Nick Urbanus homered.
With a 5-3 lead, Hidde Brocken had taken over the Amsterdam-pitching in the seventh inning.
Brocken, who made his first appearance of the season in the main-squad, saw HCAW leave a runner behind on second base.
In the bottom of the eighth, the righthander gave up four runs with two outs that made it a 7-7 tie.

Raoell Kortstam delivered the next basehit, then Kevin Dirksen added an RBI-double and Delano Selassa singled in two runs to make it a 7-7 tie.
Selassa later stole second base and reached third on a throwing error, but then was left behind.
Amsterdam got a chance to re-take the lead in the top of the ninth, but left two runners behind in scoring position.
New pitcher Jasper Popken walked Patrick Bok and hit Rashid Gerard with a pitch, which led to a quick change.
Tim Niekerk took over, but got the bases loaded when Max Clarijs singled.
The HCAW-defense then turned a 4-2-3 double play and a grounder ended the at bat.
As HCAW was retired in order in its ninth at bat, the game went into extra innings.
Amsterdam scored twice in the top of the tenth inning off of Niekerk, who encountered problems with his control.
With two outs, Kenny Berkenbosch singled and advanced on a wild pitch.
Hereafter, Danny Rombley walked and the two advanced on another wild pitch.
Berkenbosch and Rombley then both scored when Niekerk uncorked his third wild pitch, which gave Amsterdam a 9-7 lead.
In the bottom of the tenth, HCAW got one run back.
Rossini Frolijk led off with a single, then his pinch-runner Koen Werkman scored on a following double by Dylan Koster.
With one out, Koster advanced to third base on a flyout, but was left behind, as a pop-up ended the game.
