Neptunus decides game in 6th inning to complete sweep against HCAW

ROTTERDAM (Neth.) -
Curaçao Neptunus rallied for six runs in the sixth inning on Sunday (August 20) to win 8-2 against HCAW and complete a 3-game sweep.
Neptunus opened its opening series of the Championship Pool on Thursday with a 6-2 win.
On Saturday, Neptunus nipped HCAW 3-2 in the second match-up.
HCAW initially took an 1-0 lead in the third inning, but Neptunus came alongside.
Leading only 2-1, the home team rallied for six runs in the sixth on five basehits, including runscoring singles by Daniel Fernandes, Gregory Muller and Jochem Koedijk.
Neptunus collected 12 basehits, including three by Muller and Koedijk.
The latter also batted in three runs., while Muller scored three.
HCAW registered only five hits off of starter Kevin Kelly in five-plus innings, then added three more in the remainder of the game.
