In the third inning, Pirates stranded two runners, but then doubled its lead in the fourth.
With one out, Rashid Gerard walked, then Jesse Aussems reached on an error.
With two outs, both scored on a single by Linoy Croes to make it a 4-0 score.
In the fifth inning, Jimmy Osinga took over the UVV-pitching.
Last season, he made his big league-debut while pitching for Amsterdam Pirates, with whom he also won the European Champions Cup.
Osinga held his former teammates scoreless in the fith, but then gave up three runs in the sixth.
Lead-off hitter Rashid Gerard reached on an error, then Jesse Aussems singled.
With one out, Linoy Croes connected for an RBI-double.
Moments later, Aussems scored on a wild pitch.

Kevin Heijstek started for Amsterdam and threw five solid innings.
The righthander gave up only two hits, was supported with two double plays and allowed UVV to get into scoring position only twice.
With one out in the bottom of the first inning, Heijstek gave up a double to Bryce Cherry, but he stranded on second base.
In the fifth, Mike Bazuin led off with a single.
He advanced on two following grounders, but then was left behind on third base.
Robin Schel threw the next three innings for Amsterdam.
After retiring the side in the sixth, he gave up a lead-off single to Bryce Cherry in the seventh, then hit next batter Berend Ruben with a pitch.
Two flyouts followed, then Cherry was forced out on third base to end the at bat.
Schel retired the side again in the eighth.
The ninth inning was pitched by Tom de Blok, who made his first exhibition-appearance for Amsterdam.
A few days ago, the righthander returned home from Los Angeles after completion of the World Baseball Classic with the Netherlands Kingdom Team.
De Blok retired the side and closed with two strikeouts.
