ROTTERDAM (Neth.) -
Orlando Yntema will make his comeback on the pitching mound coming Saturday!
The righthander has been named starting pitcher for Curaçao Neptunus by Head Coach Ronald Jaarsma for the away-game at Pickles UVV in Vleuten.
When Yntema steps on the mound on Saturday it will be a personal victory, as well as a major step forward in his recovery.

When Yntema returned with the Netherlands Kingdom Team from the World Baseball Classic in March, he complained of stomach pains.
During the exhibition season, he made only one appearance during a tournament in The Hague and in the same period, he traveled to the Dominican Republic due to family-circumstances.
After coming back, the 31-year old Dominican-born Yntema underwent several examinations in different hospitals and was sidelined ever since.
In late April, Yntema was hospitalized.
In a statement issued by the club back then, it was said that ''he was treated at the AMC, but there, no conclusive diagnosis could be made regarding his complaints, which were stomach-problems, unable to hold food and drinks and dehydration.
At the Havenziekenhuis blood-tests followed, resulting in the probable diagnosis of metabolic syndrome.
(...) At the Franciscus Hospital, further tests and examinations were performed.
(...) He will undergo surgery regarding a thicking near his thyroid gland''.
It was expected that Yntema might be out for the season.
The righthander was scheduled to be one of the three starters in the Neptunus-rotation.
Early May, Yntema successfully underwent surgery and then returned home to recover.
On May 21, Yntema attended a game of Neptunus when it played against UVV in Vleuten.
In recent weeks, it already was reported that Yntema was feeling much stronger and better.
He started doing some practices again and made brief bullpen-appearances during practice sessions.
Also, he was in uniform with his team during several games.
Three weeks ago, the first reports came that Yntema might come back this season after all.
This week, the coaching and medical staff of Neptunus, of course after talks with Yntema himself, decided that he will take the mound again.
That will happen coming Saturday.
It has not been announced how long he will be on the mound.
But the best news is of course that Orlando Yntema will be on the playing field again!
