After a scoreless first inning, Neptunus opened the score with two runs in the second at bat.
Dwayne Kemp led off with a double and Gianison Boekhoudt walked, then both scored on a 2-out triple by Daniel Fernandes.
Neptunus added three more runs in the third at bat off of starter Jan Evertse.
With one out, the rookie gave up a double to Benjamin Dille, a runscoring single by Christian Diaz, a double to Dwayne Kemp and then got the bases loaded when he walked Gianison Boekhoudt.
Two more runs were then scored when next batter Rien Vernooij added a 2-run single.
The home team scored another run in the fourth when Shaldimar Daantji triple with one out and scored on a wild pitch, which increased the lead to 6-0.
Twins got several runners on base in almost all innings, but was unable to score off of starter Diegomar Markwell.
In the first inning, the lefthander gave up a lead-off single to Melvin Perdue, but he was forced out on grounder by Jamie Verheyleweghen.
Dennis De Quint then singled and the two Belgian runners moved to second and third base on a grounder by Gino Jonis, but Markwell then closed with a strikeout.
In the second inning, Bart Janssen singled for Twins with two outs, but was caught stealing.
In the fourth, Gino Jonis reached on an error, but was forced out, ending the inning.
In the fifth, it was Bram Grooten who led off for Twins with an infield-hit.
However, Neptunus then turned a double play.
Neptunus added another run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
With one out, Gianison Boekhoudt singled and Rien Vernooij walked.
The two moved on a wild pitch and Boekhoudt then scored the seventh run for Neptunus on a grounder by Ruar Verkerk.

Twins got into scoring position again in the top of the sixth inning, but again was unable to provide its starting pitcher with a run.
With one out, Dennis De Quint doubled and moved to third base when Christopher Ge reached on an error, but the two stranded.
Twins then did come back into the game in the top of the seventh inning by scoring four runs off of two relievers.
Rookie Stefan Iannelli started the inning in relief of starter Diegomar Markwell.
With one out, he hit Bart Janssen with a pitch, who then reached second base safely when an error was made on a force play-grounder by Nick Peels.
The bases got loaded when Melvin Perdue singled.
Hereafter, Jemuel Angela (who made his debut) lined out, but next batter Dennis De Quint walked to bring in the first run for Twins.
That led to a pitching change, as Misja Harcksen was brought in.
He gave up a 2-run single to Gino Jonis, then a runscoring infield-hit to Christopthe Ge that made it a 7-4 score.
Harcksen closed with a strikeout, but Neptunus now had only a 3-run lead.
Neptunus immediately took some more distance in the bottom of the seventh inning off of reliever Mic van de Ven.
With two outs, Ruar Verkerk (who had reached on a fielder's choice) moved to second base on a wild pitch, then Daniel Fernandes walked.
Verkerk advanced on another wild pitch, while Fernandes stayed at first, but he later stole second base.
A third wild pitch followed, enabling Verkerk to score.
Hereafter, Jochem Koedijk was hit by a pitch.
That brought in Thijs Steenwijk as new pitcher.
While Koedijk was caught stealing in a run-down, Fernandes was able to score and make it 9-4.
Both teams scored once in the eighth inning.
For Twins, Bram Grooten led off with a bunt-single and later scored on a wild pitch.
For Neptunus, Christian Diaz walked with two outs.
He then scored on a double by Dwayne Kemp, who himself was eliminated in a rundown after having reached second base.
As the 10:30 PM curfew had been reached, this situation also ended the game.
