   Twins wins Mastenbroek Tournament

De Glaskoning Twins is the winner of the 35th edition of the annual international J.C.J. Mastenbroek Tournament.
On Sunday (April 1), Twins nipped Cityside Apartments Quick Amersfoort 3-2 in the Final of the event.
It marks the second time that Twins won the event after winning it for the first time in 2016.
Trailing 1-0, Twins took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Dennis De Quint hit a 2-run homerun.
A third run was added later and in the meantime, starting pitcher (and former pro) Misja Harcksen struckout six hitters and threw five good innings.
Earlier in the day, Barracudas from Switzerland finished in third place by winning 5-4 against Alcmaria Victrix.
The game for fifth and sixth place between host Tex Town Tigers and Borgerhout Squirrels from Belgium ended in a 3-3 tie.

Coming weekend, Twins meets Borgerhout Squirrels from Belgium, while Quick Amersfoort is scheduled to play two games against L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
They will open the new big league-season on Thursday, April 26.
