Early June, the 28-year old Curaçao-born Sulbaran joined Dutch big league-team Silicon Storks. However, he left the team again a week ago, as he traveled to Canada. There, he was signed by Winnipeg Goldeyes, who announced the addition of the pitcher on Monday (July 2).

JC Sulbaran made his debut for Storks and in the Dutch big league on June 10 when he started and threw two innings against DSS. A week later, he threw the first three innings for Storks against De Glaskoning Twins. On June 24, Sulbaran made his third start for Storks. On that day, he threw four innings against Quick Amersfoort He struckout seven batters, but also gave up six hits and three runs to become the losing pitcher. Sulbaran also was used as designated hitter once and briefly played as leftfielder in another game.

In three games as pitcher, Sulbaran threw in nine innings and struckout 13 hitters, while giving up nine basehits and four earned runs.

On the same day that Winnipeg announced the addition of Sulbaran, he made his first appearance for the team in the evening in the away-game against Sioux City Explorers. He pitched the first four innings, struckout three hitters and walked three. The righthander gave up five hits and four runs to become the losing pitcher. Sioux City won the game with a 5-4 score.
