Quick Amersfoort struck with two rallies, scoring four runs in the third inning and adding five more in the fourth at bat. The team led 10-1 after six innings, needing only more run to end the game via the mercy-rule after seven innings. That run (of course) didn't come and so, the game continued. Quick then scored three runs in the eighth to still complete the game via the mercy-rule.

After the first two innings remained scoreless, Quick Amersfoort rallied for four runs in the third at bat on four basehits. Jordy Burger and Wesley Bernardus both singled to put runners on second and third. The bases got loaded when Jelle Blaauw walked, then Rachid Engelhardt added a 2-run double and a third run was scored on a following throwing error. On the error, Engelhardt advanced to third base and he then scored on a sacrifice fly by Bryan Engelhardt.

Quick added five more runs in the fourth inning to take a commanding lead off of starting pitcher Jurrian Koks. Quick produced three hits in this inning, while the Storks-defense committed three errors, resulting in four unearned runs. Luigino Rosaria led off with a single, then an error was made on a sacrifice bunt by Jordy Burger. The bases got loaded when Wesley Bernardus reached on a bunt-single. A runscoring single by Jelle Blaauw and a sacrifice fly by Rachid Engelhardt accounted for the first two runs in this inning. Bryan Engelhardt then reached on an error, which led to the next run. A single by Tijmen Takke and sacrifice fly by Jules Cremer brought in two more runs and lifted the lead to 9-0.

Quick-starter Jos de Jong encountered no problems in the first three innings. The righthander gave up a run in the bottom of the fourth, but at that moment, his team already led 9-0. In the fourth, Runai Coran and Kendrick Delima opened with basehits, which gave Storks runners at the corners. Delima was then forced out on a grounder by Aldi Guzman, but that also enabled Coran to score.

Quick made it a 10-1 score in the sixth off of Nick Winkel. With one out, Bryan Engelhardt doubled off the fence in centerfield, moved on a grounder and scored on an infield-hit by Remian Denis.

In the top of the seventh inning, Quick Amersfoort got a chance to reach the 10-run difference, but instead, it left three runners behind. The team got the bases loaded with no outs (!) when Jordy Burger and Wesley Bernardus both walked and Jelle Blaauw singled. But hereafter, an infield-fly, strikeout and groundout ended the at bat.

The 10-run was reached in the top of the eighth when Quick scored three runs off of new pitcher Ricky Voorn. Remian Denis led off with a double and Jules Cremer walked. With two outs, the bases got loaded when Wesley Bernardus was hit by a pitch. A run was scored when Jelle Blaauw walked and two more were added on a single by Rachid Engelhardt, who had five runs batted in.

After Storks had scored in the fourth inning, the team was unable to add more runs in the remainder of the game. In the fifth, a runner stranded on first base and in the sixth, three hitters were retired in order. In the seventh inning, Aaron Isenia took over the pitching from Jos de Jong. With one out, he gave up an infield-hit to Giovanny Perez and walked Nick Nefs. But the latter was forced out and a foul-out ended the inning.

Trailing 13-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Storks was retired in order by Jurjen van Zijl (two strikeouts) and that ended the game.
