HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Jerry Breek, the Head Coach of Haarlem-based DSS, confirmed on Thursday (September 6) that he will step down after conclusion of the season.

Jerry Breek led DSS as its Head Coach since last season.
In August during the 2016 season, Breek was one of the members of a newly appointed coaching-staff.
That staff took over after Head Coach Lennart Stut was dismissed after a 6-33 record.
Nick Stuifbergen was named new Head Coach for the remaining three games and the following Play-Downs.
Breek was the 1B Coach in the new staff.
After completion of the 2016 season, Jerry Breek succeeded Stuifbergen as new Head Coach of DSS.
In his first season as Head Coach last year, DSS finished in fifth place with a 13-23 record.
Thereafter, the team finished in second place in the Promotion/Relegation Pool.
This year, DSS came very close in reaching the top-four for the first time.
The team was in fourth place, but then lost some crucial games and ended up in fifth place with a 17-20 record.
Five games played by DSS ended up in a tie, which set a new single season league-record in the Dutch big league.
