  Kalian Sams suffers huge loss with Québec

 POMONA, New York (USA) -
Les Capitales de Québec, the team of Kalian Sams, suffered a huge 21-1 loss on Thursday-evening (September 6) in Game 2 of the best-of-five Play-Off against Rockland Boulders in the CanAmLeague.
The Canadian squad opened the series on Wednesday with a 9-6 victory.
In that game, Sams hit a 2-run homerun, which erased a 2-0 deficit.
In Thursday's game, Sams was 0-for-1 and walked twice, before being replaced as centerfielder.
Opponent Rockland collected 22 basehits, including five by Conrad Gregor and four by Marcus Nidiffer.
Gregor also scored five runs and batted in nine!
Gregor homered twice, including a grand slam in the first inning.
Rockland rallied for twelve runs on seven hits in the bottom of the first inning, then added four more runs in the second at bat.
With a 16-1 lead, Rockland scored five more runs from the seventh inning on.
Québec scored its lone run in the third inning.
Dutch catcher Phildrick Llewellyn pitched the final two innings for Québec.
He struckout one hitter, but also gave up seven hits and five earned runs.
