In today's game, Twins already led 11-0 before Pioniers scored its two runs in the seventh inning to avoid a mercy-rule loss.
In the first six innings, Pioniers was held scoreless by Mic van de Ven, who had a fine outing.
The righthander struckout four hitters and gave up only two basehits.
However, Pioniers failed to open the score in the top of the first inning when it got its first two hitters on base.
Mark Smit led off with a walk and stole second base, then Leandro Anasagasti also walked.
Van de Ven followed with a strikeout, an infield-fly accounted for the second out and a flyout ended the at bat.
Pioniers was retired in order in the next two innings, then got another runner in scoring position in the fourth inning.
But at that moment, the team already trailed 3-0.
Twins opened the score in the bottom of the first inning off of starter Luuk ter Beek.
He gave up a lead-off double to Jarreau Martina, who stole third base and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ruar Verkerk.
Twins added two runs in the third inning.
Nick Peels led off with a walk and scored on a triple by next hitter Brian Biezen, who then scored himself on a following single by Jarreau Martina.
After Pioniers had left a runner behind on second base in the top of the fourth inning, Twins took more distance by scoring three runs (two unearned) in its fourth at bat.
Twins got the bases loaded due to some mishaps in the defense.
First, Dennis De Quint led off with a walk.
Next, an error was made on a grounder by Bram Grooten and then everyone was safe on a fielder's choice/sacrifice bunt from Bob van der Meer towards to pitcher Luuk ter Beek.
Moments later, the first two runners scored on a double by Max Kops.
That led to a pitching change, as Ter Beek was relieved by Andrew Wanapa.
He first got a grounder, but then walked Brian Biezen, which re-loaded the bases.
Jarreau Martina followed with a sacrifice fly that lifted the lead to 6-0.
In the fifth inning, Twins put the score more or less out of reach by scoring five runs with two outs!
With one out, the bases got loaded when Dennis De Quint and Bram Grooten walked and Bob van der Meer singled.
After a foul-out, two runs were scored on infield-hits by Nick Peels and Brian Biezen.
With the bases still loaded, Alexander Valdez was brought in as new pitcher.
But he walked Jarreau Martina, then gave up a 2-run single to Ruar Verkerk, which made it an 11-0 score.
Twins was retired in order in its final three at bats by Valdez, but the team didn't need additional runs, as the lead was big enough.
With two outs in the fifth, Pioniers got two more runners in scoring position, but failed to score.
Duco Nuijten and Mark Smit both singled, then executed a double-steal, but stranded.
After being retired in order in the sixth, Pioniers scored its two runs in the top of the seventh off of new pitcher Jan Evertse.
With one out, Damian Melis doubled and moved on a grounder.
Next hitter Duco Nuijten was hit by a pitch, then Melis scored on an infield-hit by Mark Smit.
Hereafter, Nuijten scored on single by Leandro Anasagasti, who was eliminated at second base trying to stretch his hit into a double.
And that was to be it for Pioniers today.
