Amsterdam Pirates wins twice against Twins

L&D Amsterdam Pirates played exhibition games against De Glaskoning Twins in the weekend.
There is one week left in the exhibition season.
The regular season opens on Thursday, April 26.
On Saturday (April 14), Amsterdam Pirates recorded a big 10-1 win at home.
The game was not yet played on the main-field in Amsterdam, which is almost playable after an artificial infield was installed over the past weeks.
Instead, the game was played of Field #2 of the Amsterdam-complex.
On Sunday (April 15), Amsterdam won 7-2 in Oosterhout.
Before this weekend, Twins had won five of its six exhibition games.
Saturday was not the best game for Twins defensively, as the team committed seven errors.
Nevertheless, the score was tied at 1-1 after three innings and the home team led only 2-1 after four at bats.
Hereafter, Amsterdam scored three runs in the fifth and added four more in the seventh.
Amsterdam collected 12 basehits in this game, while Twins had nine.
Amsterdam opened the score with one run in the first inning off of starter Misja Harcksen, who threw five innings.
The righthander have up six basehits and struckout three hitters.
Twins came alongside in the third inning when Jarreau Martina homered off of Amsterdam-starter Kevin Heijstek, who threw four innings.
Amsterdam broke the 1-1 tie in the fourth and scored three more runs in the fifth off of Harcksen.
He was relieved by Jan Evertse, who threw a scoreless sixth inning.
In the seventh inning, the home team scored four runs off of relievers Pastor Martínez Chevez and Jakob Syrén.
Martínez gave up five hits in 1/3 inning.
Syrén gave up another run in the eighth, before Thijs Steenwijk closed the game with a scoreless ninth inning.
Heijstek was relieved by Robin Schel in the top of the fifth.
The lefthander took over with a 2-1 score, threw three innings and was credited with a Hold.
Hereafter, Maickel Rietel threw the remaining two innings.
On Sunday, Amsterdam, which collected eleven basehits, struck early with three runs in the top of the first inning off of starter Reynaldo Sarmiento Claro.
The righthander threw three innings and gave up six hits.
Twins, which produced seven basehits, got one run back in the second inning off of Amsterdam-starter Kyle Ward, who threw two innings and became the winning pitcher.
Both teams scored a run in the third at bat, then three scoreless innings followed.
For Twins, Mic van de Ven threw three scoreless innings in which he also held Amstedam hitless.
For Amsterdam, Jim Ploeger took over in the third.
The lefthander gave up the second run of Twins, but then added a scoreless fourth.
Hereafter, Daan Hendrix and Nick Veltkamp both threw two scoreless innings.
The bottom of the ninth was not played.
Ploeger and Hendrix earned a Hold.
With a 4-2 lead, Amsterdam scored its next run in the top of the seventh off Jan Evertse, who gave up two hits.
Two more runs were added in the eighth at bat off Pastor Martínez Chevez, who also gave up two basehits.
Hereafter, Thijs Steenwijk threw a scoreless ninth inning.
