 Final exhibition-game on Sunday also cancelled

The final exhibition game that was still on schedule to be played on Sunday (March 18), was also cancelled on Saturday-evening.
In the past few days, nine of the ten exhibition games, involving big league-teams, already had been scheduled due to the cold weather conditions.
The expected snow was limited only to the southern part of the country, but a strong eastern wind made it very cold on Saturday.
For Sunday, there will be some more sun, but it will remain very cold.
On Saturday, it was reported that it was coldest March 17 in history in the Netherlands.
Today, it was 0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit).
That broke the record set in 1909 when it was 1,2 degrees Celsius (34,16 F).
The final game on the schedule was that of Hoofddorp Pioniers, which was to play against its second team Omron Pioniers, starting on 12 PM.
That game also was removed from the schedule on Saturday-evening, meaning that none of the eight big league-teams will get into action this weekend.
So far, only one exhibition game has been played.
Last weekend, Storks won 8-6 against Neptunus.
Including coming weekend's games, 16 exhibition games have been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
In the weekend of March 24-25, more games are scheduled.
Also scheduled in that weekend is the 30th edition of the annual Jan van de Vegte Memorial Tournament in Nijmegen.
Coming week, Neptunus will travel to the Czech Republic where it will play two games against Draci Brno.
The regular season in the big league opens on Thursday, April 26.
But the season in the second highest league already opens on Friday, April 6!
