Henri van Heijningen behind the plate in Prague Final

PRAGUE 4 / PRAGUE (Czech Rep.) -
The Under-23 Team of the Czech Republic and 3n2 International Stars will face each other in the Final of the Prague Baseball Week on Saturday-evening.
Dutch umpire Henri van Heijningen will be the Home Plate Umpire in the Final at Eagles Praha Complex in the Czech capital.
Belgian umpire Damon Baesen will be behind the plate in the Bronze-Medal game, while Austrian umpire Sascha Pammesberger will call balls and strikes in the game for fifth and sixth place.
On a rainy and chilly Thursday (June 28), three games were played, while one was cancelled.
Despite the rain, all games in the Prague Softball Week were played as scheduled.
On Thursday, the Under-18 Team of Italy recorded a big 16-1 win against NSW Blue Sox from Australia to reach the Semi-Final.
On Friday (June 29), it was much better weather than the day before with temperatures around the 28 degrees Celsius.
In the late afternoon, 3n2 International Stars shutout Italy 7-0 in the Semi-Final to become the first finalist.
The International Stars showed to have more experienced players than the Under-18 Team of Italy and encountered no problems.
Van Heijningen also was the Home Plate Umpire in this game.
Earlier in the day, he was the 3B Umpire in one of the games that went underway at 9 AM.
In the evening, the Czech Republic became the second finalist by winning 12-6 against the Intenational Future Stars in the other Semi-Final.
