The game started with a long first at bat for both teams.

In the top of the first inning, Barracudas decided the game with a 6-run rally on only three basehits, as the TTT-defense contributed with two errors. With one out and a runner on third base, Alex Rubanowitz delivered a runscoring single to open the score off of starter Morris Verdonk. After Rubanowitz stole second base and advanced on a wild pitch, Evan Brisentine walked. A run was then scored when Elliot Berger reached on an error. As another error followed, this led to runners at the corners and the bases got loaded when Reto Cola walked. Hereafter, four more runs (three unearned) were added on a 2-run double by Fritz Baer, a grounder by Nik Diener and a single by Harry Wischnewski in his second at bat in the inning. With runners on second and third base, the inning ended when the eleventh batter flied out, but Barracudas led 6-0.

Tex Town Tigers answered with three runs in its first inning off of starter Andreas Rueesch. Tim Jan Thio led off with a walk and Daan Schooten followed with a single, which led to runners on second and third base. Ruben Hogt also singled to bring in the first run. Now with runners at the corners, a double-steal situation accounted for the second run. Next hitter Tim van Ee walked and a wild pitch put runners on second and third base. A run was then scored on a grounder by Thorben Dijs to make it a 6-3 score. The bases got loaded hereafter when Robin Vording walked and Thijs Slot was hit by a pitch, but Rueesch then struckout the next two hitters to end the inning.

Barracudas took some more distance by adding two runs in the top of the second inning. With the bases loaded and one out, a run was scored on a force play-grounder by Fritz Baer, which was followed by a throwing error, resulting in another run. In the end, the Swiss squad left three runners behind when the inning ended with a force out at the plate.

Another run was added in the top of the third off of new pitcher Thijs Brand, who had taken over during the previous inning. Lead-off hitter Kevin Fermin De La Cruz then reached on an error and later scored on a wild pitch.

Tex Town Tigers left a runner behind in the second inning. With a 9-3 lead in the bottom of the third inning, Kevin Vonderschmitt took over the Swiss pitching. He walked a batter, but TTT left another runner behind on second base.

As the first inning took some time to complete, only three innings were played, as the time-limit for pool-games is 90 minutes.
