Clemensia initially started the season on the roster of Hoofddorp Pioniers, where his father Angelo Clemensia is the 1B Coach.
This year, Clemensia was to pitch again professionally in a Rookie League-team of the Minnesota Twins-organization, but he was released on March 19.
The 21-year old Clemensia made his professional debut in 2016 and then pitched in eleven games (10 starts) for GCL Twins.
He was 1-4 with a 2.47 ERA and 47 strikeouts and 26 walks in 43 2/3 inning.
Last year, Clemensia played for two different teams at the Rookie League-level, Elizabethton Twins (two games) and GCL Twins (nine games).
He then also threw in eleven games (four starts) and was 2-3 with a 3.65 ERA, striking 25 batters in 24 2/3 inning, but also walking 27.
After being released, Clemensia decided to pitch this season for Neptunus instead of Pioniers.
The transfer became official after Pioniers had played its opening series against Neptunus last weekend.
Taylor Clemensia made his debut in the Dutch league during the 2013 season when he played in one game for HCAW.
A year later, he played in 18 games for Hoofddorp Pioniers as outfielder, first baseman and designated hitter.
He then batted .344 (11-for-32).
In 2015, Clemensia played in 21 games for Pioniers and then batted .262 (11-for-42).
In that season, he also made his pitching debut, throwing in five games a reliever.
He was 0-0 with no saves and a 13.50 ERA, pitching four innings.
He didn't pitch for Pioniers after completion of his professional seasons in 2016 and 2017.
Clemensia was signed by the Minnesota Twins on May 8, 2015 and made his professional debut in 2016.
