HCAW-starter Dennis Burgersdijk had another fine pitching-outing, struckout nine hitters and gave up only six basehits.
Nevertheless, the righthander faced a minimal 1-0 deficit due to an unearned run in the second inning.
Burgersdijk walked lead-off hitter Jarreau Martina in the bottom of the first inning, but then was supported with a double play.
However, in the second at bat, Twins scored an unearned run and thereafter, it got the bases loaded with one out.
But the team failed to add more runs to take some more take distance.
In the second inning, Burgersdijk gave up a lead-off single to Dennis De Quint.
With one out, the Belgian player reached second base safely when an error was made on a force play-grounder by Bram Grooten.
The bases got loaded when Bob van der Meer singled.
Next hitter Nick Peels also singled to bring in De Quint and put Twins ahead.
With the bases still loaded, a strikeout and groundout ended the inning.
The run appeared to be the lone one in the game, as the Twins-pitching held HCAW scoreless, while the team itself also was unable to do some more scoring.
In the next two innings, Burgersdijk retired the side.
Hereafter, Twins got into scoring position in three consecutive at bats, but failed to score.
In the fifth, Nick Peels led off with a bunt-single and stole second base.
With one out, Peels was caught stealing.
In the sixth, Twins got its lead-off hitter on base again when Ruar Verkerk doubled.
He stranded, as the next three hitters were retired by Burgersdijk, including two strikeouts.
And in the seventh, Bob van der Meer singled with one out and moved on a sacrifice bunt, but Burgersdijk closed with a strikeout.
In its first seven at bats, HCAW got into scoring position four times, but the Twins-defense held the Bussum-squad scoreless.
In the top of the first inning, Delano Selassa singled for HCAW with one out off of starter Pastor Enrique Martínez Chavez.
With two outs, Selassa advanced on a wild pitch, but Martínez closed with a strikeout.
In the second inning, Martínez gave up an one-out single to Seb Visser, who was awarded second base on a balk.
This time, two flyouts followed.
HCAW got its next runner into scoring position in the fifth.
With two outs, Roland Laurens walked and Jeandro Tromp singled, but they also stranded.
Leading 1-0, Jan Evertse took over the pitching for Twins and got HCAW's fourth runner in scoring position.
He gave up a lead-off single to Seb Visser, who advanced on a wild pitch.
Evertse followed with two strikeouts and a grounder ended the at bat.
And so, the eighth inning began with Twins leading only 1-0.
The game then turned HCAW's way when it scored two runs with two outs.
Lead-off hitter Jeandro Tromp walked and moved on a sacrifice bunt by Delano Selassa.
Evertse followed with another strikeout, but then was relieved by Thijs Steenwijk.
He saw Tromp move on a passed ball, then walked Vince Rooi, who stole second base moments later.
After Rooi was replaced by pinch-runner Julian Rip, Steenwijk gave up a 2-run single to Bryce Cherry that made it 2-1 in favor of HCAW.
In the top of the ninth, HCAW added an insurance run.
Julian Goins led off with a double, moved on a sacrifice bunt by Roland Laurens and scored on a wild pitch to make it a 3-1 score.
Dennis Burgersdijk retired the side in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Oscar Meuris pitched the ninth inning for HCAW and also retired the side, including two strikeouts.
