Carter Kieboom returns to Triple-A

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin / WASHINGTON, DC (USA) -
Carter Kieboom has returned to Triple-A.
On Tuesday (May 7), Washington Nationals announced that third baseman Anthony Rendon has been activated from the Injury List.
And so, Rendon returned to the active roster, while Kieboom was optioned to Fresno Grizzlies, the Triple-A team of Washington.
Rendon missed 14 games with an elbow-injury after being hit by a pitch on April 20 against Miami Marlins.
Before being injured, Rendon was hitting .356 in 20 games with ten doubles and six homeruns, while batting 18 runs.
Carter Kieboom was added to the roster on Friday, April 26.
In the evening, he was the starting short stop for Washington and hit a homerun in his Major League-debut against San Diego Padres.
Two days, Kieboom homered again.
Since being added to the roster, Kieboom played in 11 games and was 5-for-39 (.128), which included his two homeruns.
He scored four runs and batted in two.
Kieboom walked four times, but also struckout 16 times.
On Monday, he was 0-for-4 as short stop for Washington in the 5-3 loss at Milwaukee Brewers.
On Tuesday-evening, Anthony Rendon returned to the starting line-up for Washington as third baseman and that was a remarkable comeback.
He was hit by a pitch in his first at bat.
Thereafter, he was 0-for-3.
After getting a called strikeout in the seventh inning, he argued and was ejected by Home Plate Umpire CB Bucknor.
