Storks got several runners in scoring position in the first three innings, but scored only once.
HCAW then scored twice in the third inning and hold onto the minimal lead from there.
With two outs in the top of the first inning, Luuk Visser doubled for Storks off of starter Chris Pfau, but the lefthander closed with a strikeout.
In the second at bat, Pfau hit lead-off hitter Kris Morris, but he was forced out moments later on a grounder by Giovanny Perez.
When a throwing error followed, Perez ended up on second base, but stranded there.
Storks then opened the score in the third inning.
Roy Winkel and Milo Botman began with singles.
When the latter was forced out on a grounder by Kevin Nieveld, Winkel moved to third base.
He then scored when Luuk Visser reached on an error.
Storks got runners on second and third base thanks to a sacrifice bunt by Glennton Poulo, but Chris Pfau again closed with a strikeout.

Hereafter, Storks would not get another runner into scoring position.

With two outs, he stole second base, then scored the tying run on a single by Oliver van der Wijst Severino.
He moved to second base on the throw to the plate, then scored when Rodney Daal followed with a single to put HCAW ahead, 2-1.
In the next four innings, Jurrian Koks retired the side.
Still leading only 2-1, HCAW struck in the bottom of the eighth after 13 consecutive batters had been retired.

Moments later, a wild pitch accounted for the fourth run in the inning and lifted the lead to 6-1.
In the top of the ninth, Ian Delemarre pitched for HCAW and retired the side.
