Hoofddorp Pioniers opened the score with two runs in the top of the first inning off of lefthander Diegomar Markwell.
Mark Smit led off with a single and Nolan Beugeling singled with one out.
Smit was then forced out on a grounder by Mervin Gario, but Joey Eeman followed with a 2-run double to put Pioniers ahead.
The lead was shortlived, as Neptunus rallied for five runs in its first at bat off of Yassir Lachkar, who made his big league-debut.
This season, Lachkar is one of the pitchers of Omron Pioniers, the Hoofddorp-team in the second highest league.
He was added to the main-squad for tonight on Wednesday, as announced starter Luuk ter Beek was unavailable due to school exams.
With one out, the righthander hit Benjamin Dille with a pitch.
Dille stole second base, then scored on a single by Dwayne Kemp.
After he also had stolen second base, Gianision Boekhoudt homered to put Neptunus ahead, 3-2.
Hereafter, Dudley Leonora singled and stole second base.
He then scored on a single by Shaldimar Daantji, who became the fourth player in this at bat to steal second base.
Daantji initially stayed at second base on an infield-hit by Julian Goins, but advanced after all on a following throwing error.
Daantji scored the fifth run on a sacrifice fly by Quintin De Cuba.
Neptunus added two runs in the second inning.
Stijn van der Meer led off with a single, then got some pitching 'support' to complete his run around the bases.
He first advanced on a wild pitch, then was awarded third base on a balk and scored on another wild pitch.
Hereafter, Benjamin Dille and (with one out) Dwayne Kemp both walked.
With two outs, Dille scored on a single by Shaldimar Daantji to make it a 7-2 score.
In the top of the third, Pioniers got into scoring position again.
With one out and Nolan Beugeling (fielder's choice) on first base, the bases got loaded when Mervin Gario walked and Joey Eeman singled.
But the inning ended when Jorrit Penseel grounded into a double play.

Moments later, Neptunus scored another run in the bottom of the third.
With two outs, Stijn van der Meer doubled and scored on a following single by Benjamin Dille.
In the fop of the fourth, Pioniers again got the bases loaded off of Diegomar Markwell.
With one out, Jaison Gijsbertha and Bodhi de Vreede singled.
With two outs, Raul Jacobs was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
The three runners were left behind when Nolan Beugeling fied out.
Neptunus scored its eighth run in the bottom of the fourth off of new pitcher Nick Loos.
Gianison Boekhoudt then led off with a homerun to make it an 9-2 score.
For Boekhoudt, this was the first time in almost four years that he hit two homeruns in one game in the regular season and the third time overall.
On June 7, 2014, Boekhoudt homered twice against ADOLakers.
He did it again on July 30, 2015 against UVV.
Tonight, he hit two homeruns for the first time in a home-game.
In the top of the fifth inning, Pioniers got one more baserunner off of Markwell, but he was forced out.
That ended the inning.
Just in time, as one minute later, the game was interrupted due to heavy rain.
Fourteen minutes later, the field had become unplayable and the game was halted definitively.
As the home team was leading in the bottom of the fifth, it was a valid game.
