Curaçao-outfielder Shean Michel in Spring Training; Kieboom-brothers, Schoop hit doubles

On Sunday (March 10), Curaçao-born outfielder Shean Michel was added to the Major League-team of Atlanta Braves to be an additional player for its game against against Miami Marlins.
Michel became the twelfth Dutch player to be in a Major League Spring Training-camp this season.
This includes the American-born brothers Carter and Spencer Kieboom, but they have a Dutch father, Alswinn Kieboom.
As such, they are both American and Dutch.
The other nine players from the Netherlands Kingdom in Spring Training this year are Ozzie Albies (Atlanta Braves), Xander Bogaerts (Boston Red Sox), Hendrik Clementina (Cincinnati Reds), Ray-Patrick Didder (Atlanta Braves), Didi Gregorius (New York Yankees), Kenley Jansen (Los Angeles Dodgers), Jurickson Profar (Oakland Athletics), Jonathan Schoop (Minnesota Twins) and Andrelton Simmons (Los Angeles Angels).
Clementina was added to one game of the Reds, but then didn't play.
Gregorius will not play, as he is recovering from Tommy John-surgery.

The 21-year old Shean Michel, whose first name is short from Raysheandall, was assigned to uniform number 9.
While he was with the team for the game against the Marlins, he didn't play.
Michel plays professionally since 2015 in the Braves-organization.
After having played in Rookie League in his first three seasons, he promoted to Single-A last year.
He then played in 60 games for Florida Fire Frogs and Rome Braves, hitting .250 (50-for-200) with nine doubles and one homerun.
Michel scored 20 runs and batted in 16.
On Sunday, Carter Kieboom, Spencer Kieboom and Jonathan Schoop all hit a double.
Ozzie Albies, Ray-Patrick Didder, Andrelton Simmons and Jurickson Profar also played on Sunday.
At Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter (Florida), Atlanta Braves visited Miami Marlins and lost 5-2.
Ozzie Albies was the starting second baseman and lead-off hitter for Atlanta and was 1-for-3.
He led off the game with a single in the first inning, stole second base, but also stranded there.
Albies flied out in the third and fifth inning, then was replaced in the bottom of the fifth.
In the top of the eighth, Ray-Patrick Didder was inserted as pinch-hitter, but struckout, which ended the inning.
He remained in the game and became the new short stop.
As mentioned, Curaçao-outfielder Shean Michel also was with the Atlanta-team today, but didn't play.
At FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach (Florida), Washington Nationals visited Houston Astros and won 6-4.
Carter and Spencer Kieboom both played and both hit a double and batted in a run.
Carter started as second baseman and was 1-for-4, Spencer started as catcher and was 1-for-3.
Carter hit a force play-grounder in the first inning.
In the top of the third, Carter and Spencer both grounded out.
With one out in the fourth, Adrian Sanchez walked and stole second base.
With two outs and after a pitching change, he scored on a double by Spencer.
Carter grounded out again in the fifth, then Spencer popped out in the sixth.
In the seventh, with one out, Wilmer Difo doubled and pinch-hitter Jake Noll walked.
Thereafter, it was Carter who hit an RBI-double.
Both Kieboom-brothers were replaced in the bottom of the seventh.
At Hammond Stadium at the CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers (Florida), Minnesota Twins hosted Toronto Blue Jays and lost 10-1.
Jonathan Schoop started at second base for Minnesota and was 1-for-2 with a walk.
Schoop led off the second inning with a walk, but then was eliminated in a double play.
He struckout in the fourth, the led off the sixth with a double.
After reaching second base, he was replaced by pinch-runner Jacob Pearson, who went on to score Minnesota's lone run.
At Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe (Arizona), Los Angeles Angels played at home against a split-squad of Seattle Mariners in a game that ended with a 9-9 tie after nine innings.
Los Angeles led 2-0 after four innings, then Seattle scored four runs in the fifth and added five in the eighth inning.
Los Angeles got one run back in its eighth at bat, then rallied for six runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score.
Andrelton Simmons started as short stop for Los Angeles and was 1-for-3.
Simmons grounded out in the second inning.
In the third at bat, Los Angeles scored twice.
After having scored the first run, the bases got loaded with one out when Albert Pujols and Simmons both singled.
Moments later, Simmons was forced out at second on a following grounder.
Simmons grounded out again in the fifth, then was replaced in the seventh.
At Hohokam Stadium in Mesa (Arizona), a split-squad of Oakland Athletics played against a split-squad of San Francisco Giants and won 5-4.
Jurickson Profar started at second base for Oakland and was 0-for-3.
Profar flied out in the second inning and lined out to centerfield in the fourth.
He grounded out in the sixth, then was replaced in the eighth.
