Storks was off to a good start and scored two runs in the top of the first inning.
The lead was shortlived, as HCAW turned the game its way.
Storks scored its next runs in the ninth, but already trailed 8-2 at the moment.
In the top of the first inning, Giovanny Perez led off the game with an infield-hit off of starter Dennis Burgersdijk.
With one out, the righthander got the bases loaded after Kris Morris singled and Joost van den Bergh walked.
Burgersdijk followed with a strikeout, but then gave up a 2-run single to Jurriaan Dijk.
In the bottom of the first inning, HCAW immediately answered off of starter Nick Winkel and quickly turned the game around.
Lead-off hitter Jeandro Tromp walked and was awarded second base on a balk.
Winkel then also walked Bob van der Meer, but followed with a strikeout.
However, next batter Rodney Daal connected well and hit a 3-run homerun.
With two outs, HCAW had a chance to add some more runs hereafter, as it got the bases loaded when Seb Visser walked, Ruendrick Piternella singled and Berend Ruben also walked.
The inning ended when Norbert Jongerius hit on the first pitch he saw and flied out.
Storks got into scoring position again in the top of the third inning.
Kris Morris led off with a double, but hereafter, Dennis Burgersdijk struckout the next three batters.
Moments later, HCAW added a run in its third inning.
Patrick Bok led off with a single and moved to third base when Seb Visser also singled.

And in the fifth, Kevin Nieveld led off with a walk, advanced on a wild pitch and a grounder, but also was left behind on third base.
In the bottom of the fifth, HCAW rallied for four runs off of new pitcher David van Heyningen.
He walked lead-off hitter Rodney Daal and hit next batter Patrick Bok with a pitch, then saw the two advance on a passed ball.
With one out, Daal scored on a grounder by Ruendrick Piternella.
Shortly hereafter, Bok scored on a wild pitch.
HCAW got its next two runners when Berend Ruben walked and Norbert Jongerius reached on a bunt-single.
That led to a pitching change, as veteran Jurrian Koks took over.
The righthander threw 94 pitches in 7 1/3 inning as starter in the opener on Thursday-evening.
Koks got the bases loaded when Jeandro Tromp was awarded first base on catcher's interference.
Two runs were then scored when Bob van der Meer followed with a 2-run single, which lifted the lead to 8-2.
From the sixth inning on, HCAW used a different reliever each inning.
The first three did very well.
Ian Delemarre retired the side (two strikeouts) in the sixth, Timo van Ancum faced only four batters and saw a runner strand on first base and Jiorgeny Casimiri also retired three consecutive batters in the eighth inning.
With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, HCAW-batter Arthur Lughtmeijer became the second batter to be awarded first base on catcher's intereference.
With that, rookie Storks-catcher Milo Botman almost surely became the first catcher who was credited with two interference-calls in one game at the big league-level.
In the top of the ninth, Storks scored twice off of new pitcher Arij Fransen.
The rookie got the bases loaded quickly.
He walked lead-off hitter Milo Botman, then gave up a single to Philipp Brandl and also walked pinch-hitter Stephon Mohamed.
Brandl, who was a regular last year, played in his first game of the season for the team, as he was not on the original roster for this year.
Two runs were scored when Giovanny Perez delivered a single.
Perez tried to stretch his hit into a double, but was eliminated at second base.
Hereafter, Fransen closed the game with two strikeouts.
