Twins Oosterhout had a productive afternoon in Amsterdam, outhitting Pirates 11-6.
Twins was able to reach base frequently, but also stranded several runners.
On the other hand, Amsterdam Pirates also left several runners behind.
Twins opened the score in the second inning off of lefthanded starter Jim Ploeger, then added two runs on his successor Maickel Rietel.

Rookie Thomas Roijers started for Twins and had a good outing, keeping Amsterdam scoreless in the three innings he pitched.
It was a close game, but in the end, Twins had scored more runs.
Pirates narrowed the deficit to 4-2 in the fourth inning off of reliever Mic van de Ven.
After Twins had added a run in the fifth, Amsterdam scored twice to make it a 5-4 score.
In the top of the seventh inning, Twins scored two more runs on three consecutive doubles hit by Dennis De Quint, Jason Halman and Shurman Marlin.
That lifted the lead to 7-4, which proved to be decisive.
,,We played a good game'', Twins Head Coach Jeffrey Arends said afterwards.
Brian Finnegan, his colleague at Amsterdam Pirates, also looked back to the game.
,,It went well, considering the fact that this was our first time to play outside on our home-field'', he said.
,,Offensively, we have to get into our rhythm, but we'll getting there.
We had some fine basehits today, everyone is improving.
Twins had more hits and played well today.
But it was good to be outside again, we had a lot of sunshine''.
