Initially, the game was close.
Quick Amersfoort scored its first run in the second inning off of starter Gijs Timmer, who was succeeded by Nick Winkel in the fourth.
Winkel gave up several runs in the fifth and sixth, including four unearned after an error.
Thereafter, rookie Sem Lauf ran into problems in the seventh inning, which also included an error.
Veteran righthander Jurrian Koks closed the seventh inning and then also pitched the eighth.
Quick Amersfoort scored most of their runs in the sixth and seventh inning, resulting in a big 13-1 victory.
Offensively, Quick Amersfoort had a productive evening with a lot of good (line drive) basehits, including some doubles and a triple.
In total, the team collected 18 basehits, including four by Rowan van Hoek and three by Rachid Engelhardt and Dakota van der Heyde.

In the fourth, Nick Winkel took over the Storks-pitching and struckout three batters.
But in the fifth, he gave up three runs with two outs.
With one out, Sam van der Ploeg singled and Rachid Engelhardt walked.
With two outs, they scored on a single by Rowan van Hoek, who then scored himself on a triple by Jules Cremer.
Quick-starter Taylor Clemensia gave up only two basehits in the four innings he pitched.
In the second and third inning, Storks got runners on second and third base, but failed to score.
With one out in the second, Jurriaan Dijk and Roy Winkel both walked.
The two moved on a passed ball, but Clemensia struckout the next two batters.
In the third, Giovanny Perez (with one out) and Joost van den Bergh (with two outs) singled.
The two advanced on a balk, but then were left behind.
Quick had a 4-run rally with two outs in the sixth.
With out out, Kevin Windster Adelina reached on an error and Denzel Brooks doubled.
With two outs, Rachid Engelhardt delivered a 2-run single.
Next batter Joran Berkhout was hit by a pitch.
Hereafter, two more runs were added on a double by Rowan van Hoek and a single by Jules Cremer.
Trailing 8-0, Storks scored its lone (unearned) run in the top of the seventh off of Jan-Willem Geerts, the fourth pitcher for Quick tonight.
Jurriaan Dijk led off with a single, was awarded second base on a balk and scored when Kris Morris reached on an error with one out.
Hereafter, the inning ended with a double play.
Quick added five more runs (three unearned) in the seventh off of rookie Sem Lauf.

Storks gave up 11 of the 13 runs with two outs.
Denzel Brooks doubed with two outs and Bryan Engelhardt walked.
Rachid Engelhardt followed with a runscoring single, then the bases got loaded when Joran Berkhout also singled.
Last season, Berkhout started the season with Storks, but transfered to Quick in May.
The three runners went on to score on hits by Rowan van Hoek (single), Jules Cremer (error) and Dakota van der Heyde (single).
With the bases still loaded, Jurrian Koks took over the pitching.
He gave up a runscoring single to Jordy Berger, but a grounder then ended the inning.
