Neptunus decided the second game against DSS late, just as it had done in the first game.
Tonight, the Rotterdam-team had to do without its regular second baseman Benjamin Dille.
The Belgian player was unavailable due to work commitments.
Outfielder Greg Muller didn't play because of a leg-injury.
DSS opened the score tonight with two runs in the bottom of the first inning off of starting pitcher Orlando Yntema.
With two outs, the veteran righthander hit Leandro Anasagasti with a pitch.
He then scored on a triple by Ibrahin Redan, who went on to score himself on a following single by Koen Halderman.
Neptunus got one run back in the second at bat off of starter Alexander Valdez and also scored with two outs.
With one out, Quintin De Cuba doubled and scored on a 2-out single by Julian Goins, who stranded on second base himself.
DSS got a chance to add a run in the third inning.
Mitchel Dautzenberg led off with a single and moved into scoring postition via a sacrifice bunt by Devano Pieter.
But hereafter, Yntema struckout the next two batters.
Neptunus came alongside in the top of the fourth when Shaldimar Daantji led off with a homerun.
Neptunus then scored then three runs in the top of the fifth inning and that proved to be decisive.
Rookie Mick Vos led off with his first big league-basehit.
Tonight, Vos played at second base filling in for Benjamin Dille.
Vos moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Jochem Koedijk, then scored the go-ahead run on a single by Stijn van der Meer.
While scoring, Vos collided with catcher Koen Halderman, who left the game with an injury.
With two outs, Gianison Boekhoudt drilled the ball into deep centerfield for a 2-run homerun.
The ball hit by Boekhoudt ended up in the apartment building, which is currently under construction behind the centerfield-fence.

After stranding a runner on second base in the sixth inning, Neptunus got another scoring opportunity in the seventh off of new pitcher Moreno Vork.
With one out, Stijn van der Meer walked and with two outs, Gianison Boekhoudt singled which led to runners on first and third base.
After Boekhoudt had stolen second base, Vork ended the threat with a strikeout.
Neptunus again failed to do some scoring in the eighth inning and this stranded three runners off of new pitcher Lars Werkman.
He walked lead-off hitter Quintin De Cuba, but he was eliminated at third base trying to advance an extra base on a single by Dudley Leonora.
Next, Leonora was forced out on a grounder by Julian Goins.
But hereafter, the bases got loaded when Mick Vos singled and Jochem Koedijk walked.
The three runners were left behind when a grounder ended the at bat.
Moments later, DSS narrowed the deficit to 5-4 by scoring two unearned runs.
Veteran Elton Koeiman took over the pitching for Neptunus.
Lead-of hitter Mitchel Dautzenberg reached on a throwing error, then moved to third base when Devano Pieter followed with a double.
A grounder by Diamond Silberie led to the first run and moved Pieter to third base.
Koeiman then struckout Leandro Anasagasti, but the third strike was not under control at catcher Julian Goins.
Instead of completing the strikeout at first base, Goins didn't throw the ball and with that, Anasagasti reached on the passed ball.
And so, there was still only one out and runners now on first and third base.
Pieter then scored on a sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Donny Kuijper.
Hereafter, Aldi Guzman singled, which again led to runners at the corners, but also brought in a new pitcher.
Brendan Schoemaker took over and he closed the at bat with a strikeout.
DSS threatened again in the bottom of the ninth.
Schoemaker walked lead-off hitter Runai Coran, then was relieved by Berry van Driel.
He saw Coran move on a sacrifice bunt by Koen Werkman.
Coran was unable to advance to third base on a single into short leftfield by Mitchel Dautzenberg.
But hereafter, a strikeout and groundout ended the inning and the game.
