He walked, but the Curaçao- and Aruban-born players were left behind.
In the top of the seventh, Albies was replaced, while Didder became the new designated hitter.
But he didn't get another at bat, as he was pinch-hit for himself in the eighth.
At jetBlue Park at Fenway South in Fort Myers (Florida), Boston Red Sox played at home against Washington Nationals and won 13-5.
Trailing 5-2, Boston rallied for eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

He then grounded out to end the top of the sixth.
In the bottom of the sixth, Austin Meadows led off for Tampa Bay with a double.
He then moved on a fielder's choice-grounder to Schoop, which didn't result in an out, but instead in runners at the corners.
Hereafter, Meadows stayed on third base when Nick Solak grounded into a double play with Schoop in the middle.
But after next batter Christian Arroyo walked, Meadows scored when Lucius Fox singled.
Schoop was replaced in the bottom of the seventh.
