Weather conditions
Thunderstorms with a lot of rain have been active in the morning in the Messina-area on Sicily.
As the field crew was working to prepare the field around 5:30 PM, both teams opted to stay longer in their hotel and not to take batting practice.

After arriving in the stadium to prepare for the game, it started to rain heavily again.
As of 6:30 PM, the game has been postponed and will not start at 7:00 PM.
