(September 1)

Adegeest vs. Pessac Panthères
At Cervignano del Friuli, Adegeest trailed 3-0, but came alongside in the third inning, then went on to turn the game its way from the fifth inning on and won 7-5. Panthères outhit Adegeest 11-7. With the win, Adegeest now would face Junior Alpina later in the day.

The French opponent scored three runs in the top of the first inning off of starter Rikkert Wienia. Czech Marek Volf led off with a single, then tried to score on a double by Julien Duru, but was eliminated at the plate. Herafter, Tomas Orlando Diaz Barrera singled, then a wild pitch led to runners on second and third base. A force play was created by walking Anthony Cros intentionally. A grounder indeed followed, but the only option was an out at first base, which didn't happen due to an error. And so, this situation resulted in two runs. Another intentional walk followed, but an additional run was then scored on a 2-out single by Marc Thevenon.

Adegeest got one run back in the second inning. Erik-Jan van Asperen then walked with one out and scored on a 2-out double by Rikkert Wienia, who later stranded on third base.

After Pessac had left runners on second and third base in the top of the third inning, Adegeest came alongside moments later. The first two batters struckout, but then Sebastiaan Spierenburg singled and Jurnest Virginie walked. An infield-hit by Giovanni Pourier followed and when a throwing error followed, Spierenburg was able to score. When Pourier went on to steal second, Virginie stole the plate to score the tying run. But Adegeest then also left runners behind on second and third base.

Adegeest took the lead in the fifth inning when Spierenburg walked with one out and went on to score on a fielder's choice-grounder by Pourier.

The team from Voorschoten then took more distance by scoring three runs in the sixth. Rikkert Wienia led off with a homerun, then pinch-hitter Derny van Aanhout walked, which was followed by a pitching change. Jonáš Hajný took over, but he was greeted with a 2-run homerun by Travis Havins that made it 7-3 in favor of Adegeest.

In the top of the seventh, Panthères narrowed the deficit to 7-5. Anthony Cros led off with a single, then American Eric Herman homered, but that was it for the French squad.
