 Quick Amersfoort nominated for Sports Team of the Year

 AMERSFOORT (Neth.) -
The men-softball team of Quick Amersfoort has been nominated for the title 'Sports Team of the Year' in the municipality of Amersfoort.
The city will host its annual Sportgala Amersfoort on Friday, November 25 in Theater 'De Flint'.
On that evening, winners in four categories will be honored for their sportive accomplishments this year.
2016 was a very successful year for the men-softball of the club.
Early September, Quick captured the European ESF Cup by winning the suspenseful Final of the event in Italy with a 3-2 score against Pessac Panthères from France.
In October, the Quick-men also captured the Dutch National Championship-title.
In the best-of-three Holland Series, Quick defeated reigning champion Hoofddorp Pioniers 2-1 to be crowned champion.
Also nominated for the title 'Sports Team of the Year' are ZPC Amersfoort - Relay Team Swimming (Men) and Hoogland - Soccer (Men).
ZPC Amersfoort finished in second place this year in the National Championships Relay and won the Dutch title in the 4x100 m Medley swimming.
Hoogland promoted in the 2015-2016 season to become the first Amersfoort-based team to play in a national division.
Also honored are the Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year and the Sports Talent of the Year.
