 New Board installed of Dutch Baseball & Softball Officials Association

During its annual meeting on Friday, February 19, some changes took place in the Board of the Belangenvereniging Umpires Baseball Softball (BUBS), the association that looks after the interests of baseball and softball umpires and official scorers in the Netherlands.
Baseball-umpire Stenar van Groningen Schinkel has been named as the new Chairman of the BUBS.
He succeeds Peter de Haan, who led the board since 2013.
As Chairman, Van Groningen Schinkel will represent the BUBS in the Commission of Game Officials of the Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Association.
Official scorer and softball-umpire Ben Goorts remained on the board as Secretary, the position he had held the past three years.
Also new on the board are baseball-umpire Peter Brink and softball-umpire Philippe Hubèr.
Brink takes over as Treasurer, succeeding Yvonne Krabbendam, while Hubèr succeeds Henri van Heijningen as Vice-President.
Yvonne Krabbendam and Henri van Heijningen had joined the BUBS-board in 2009, as Secretary and Vice-President respectively.
In 2013, Yvonne Krabbendam took over as Treasurer when she succeeded Albert Tolen.
Ben Goorts then became the new Secretary.
Completing the 6-person board are softball-umpire Conny van Meurs, who will handle Communication, and official scorer Norbert van Oosterhout, who will be responsible for Events.
