HAARLEM (Neth.) - AIMS EHS and TIW-Survivors split their double-header and defeated each other with a 7-run difference.
In the opener, EHS won 11-2, in the next game, TIW-Survivors won 10-3.
TIW-Survivors took a 2-0 lead in the first game, when Risto Petrus led off with a walk and scored when Melvin Brown followed with a 2-run homerun. With one out, Angelo Clementina tripled, but two strikeouts ended the at bat.
Trailing 2-0, EHS answered with four runs in their first at bat. With one out, Anthony Beaumont doubled and Michel Groenhart was walked intentionally, but then Dave Hazel hit a 3-run homerun to give EHS a 3-2 lead. After Etiënne Meijer flied out, Pim Winkel also homered.
Three runs were added in the next inning. Eric Zomerdijk led off with a triple and scored on a passed ball, then Erwin Visser doubled and Anthony Beaumont walked with one out. The two runners scored on a single by Michel Groenhart, who himself was thrown out in a double play after next batter Dave Hazel flied out.
Four runs were scored in the third inning to increase the lead to 11-2. In this inning, TIW-pitcher Wesley Blonk, who had taken over in the first, had problems with his control and issued four walks, had two wild pitches and gave up two singles. With the bases loaded, Erwin Visser singled in the first run in this inning. A basesloaded walk and a wild pitch accounted for the next runs, then Visser scored himself on a fielder's choice-grounder. As a pitcher, Visser threw a 3-hitter and struckout nine batters of his former team.
In Game Two, TIW-Survivors again opened with a 2-run homerun, but this time hold onto the lead. With two outs and Carlos Adamus on base, Angelo Clemensia hit a 2-run homerun for the early lead.
The team from Diemen then rallied for eight runs in the third inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead. The inning was highlighted by three homeruns. First, Melvin Brown hit a 3-run homerun, which marked the end for starting pitcher Eric Zomerdijk. Erwin Visser took over, but was welcomed with a homerun by Angelo Clementina. A passed ball and a throwing error resulted in two more runs, moments later followed by a 2-run homerun by Rody Stam.
EHS came back with a run in the third inning on an error, then scored two more in the fifth on an RBI-double by Dave Hazel and a single by Pim Winkel, but couldn't turn the game around anymore.

THE HAGUE (Neth.) - Kokolishi also won its next two games on Saturday, beating Spikes, 6-5 and 8-0.
In the opener, Spikes took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a triple by Wout Cnops and a passed ball, but Kokolishi tied the score immediately when Gerald Dunlop hit a 2-run double with two outs.
Kokoloshi then took a 3-2 lead in the next at bat when Calvin Winklaar led off with a walk and went on to score on an error.
In the fourth inning, Spikes re-took the lead by scoring twice. With two outs and two runners on base, an error on a grounder by Evert Versloot gave the team the two runs.
Again, Kokolishi reacted immediately and scored twice in the fifth inning. Aldric Dunlop led off with a walk, advanced on a passed ball and scored on a one-out single by Julius Veeris, who himself scored on a sac-fly to give Kokolishi a 5-4 lead.
The team from The Hague added an insurance run in the sixth inning when Aldwin Bonafacio doubled and scored on a grounder by Hubert Coffie. The run proved to be decisive, as Spikes scored once in the seventh, but ended up short.
In Game Two, veteran pitcher Aldwin Bonafacio went the distance and threw a 2-hitter.
After Kokolishi left five runners in the first two innings, the team provided Bonafacio with a 2-0 lead in the third inning. In this at bat, the runs were scored on a comeback grounder by Luigi Anasagasti and a grounder by Jeanric Ursula.
The game was then decided with a 6-run rally in the fourth on only three basehits as Spikes-starter Titus Blom walked four batters. With Hubert Coffie on first, Blom loaded the bases with two walks, then walked in two runs, before an error accounted for two more runs. Singles by Jeanric Ursula and Hubert Coffie (who singled twice in this inning) lifted the score to 8-0.

HEEMSTEDE (Neth.) - Screenhouse Storks needed more than five hours to defeat RCH-Pinguïns on Saturday, 5-3 and 15-12. The last win was accomplished in the tie-break! For RCH-Pinguïns this were there first games of the season.
In the opener, which lasted exactly two hours, Storks took a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Geza Kovacs led off with a single, then scored when Joost Droog followed with a homerun. Next, Kenny Dame singled and went on to score on an one-out single by Ed Hoet, before a double play ended the at bat.
A wild pitch in the next inning gave Storks its fourth run, before RCH-Pinguïns scored its first of the game in the home second on a single by Mike Assendelft.
Storks got the run back in the third on two wild pitches by Sjoerd Claassen, but that was all, as the team stranded four runners in the remaining innings. RCH-Pinguïns came back with two runs in the fourth inning. Mike Assendelft first led off with a homerun, then Anthony Cannegieter singled with one out, stole second and went on to score on an infield-hit by Patrick Divendal, but the team was unable to add more runs.
Trailing 1-0 in Game Two, Storks scored four runs in the second inning on a basesloaded walk, a 2-run single by Kenny Dame, who went 4-for-4, and an error.
RCH-Pinguïns got one run back in the third inning, but left the bases loaded. Storks then scored three runs in the fourth at bat on four singles to make it 7-2.
In the home fourth, RCH-Pinguïns scored twice on a single by Jur van Dijk, then tied the score with a 3-run rally in the fifth. In that at bat, lead-off hitter Jan-Willem van Markus was hit by a pitch, then René Beliën followed with a double. With two outs, the two scored on a double by Patrick Divendal, who then scored the tying run on a single by Ashwin Dall.
In the seventh inning, Storks scored four runs and appeared to take a decisive 11-7 lead. In the inning, Joost Droog and Kenny Dame hit RBI-singles, then two more runs were scored on a force play-grounder by Geza Kovacs and a single by Ed Hoet.
But the game was far from over, as RCH-Pinguïns came back to tie the score in the home seventh! With one out, Ashwin Dall singled, then then bases were loaded with two outs when pitcher Ed Hoet walked Anthony Cannegieter and Jur van Dijk. Next, Jan-Willem van Markus hit a grand slam homerun to tie the score!
In the tie-break, Storks again scored four runs, highlighted by a 3-run homerun by Joost Droog. This time, the lead was enough, as RCH-Pinguïns added only one more run, making an end to a game which lasted three hours and six minutes!
Losing pitcher Deion Trail, who went the distance, gave up 20 basehits, including four by Rob van der Vlist and Kenny Dame. Geza Kovacs was the lone player not to have a basehit and not to score a run for Storks.
