Talent Team Holland vs. Tex Town Tigers (Game One)
In the opening game, Lisa Hop had a good pitching-outing for the Talent Team, striking out four batters and giving up only two basehits. In the top of the first inning, she gave up a 2-out single to Annemiek Jansen, but she was caught stealing.

Shortly hereafter, the Talent Team rallied for five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early and comfortable lead. The Under-22 squad got on base quickly, as lead-off hitter Brenda Beers was hit by a pitch. She then not only advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by next batter Damishah Charles, but was able to score when a throwing error followed. Charles ended up on third base, then scored when Maxime van Dalen followed with a homerun. With one out, Rachel van Veen doubled and Wies Ligtvoet reached on a bunt-single, followed by a runscoring single by Onaisha Franka. Hereafter, Amber Krijgsman took over the pitching for Tex Town Tigers, but gave up a runscoring single to Rhowan Stuart, that made it 5-0. The bases got loaded when Britt Remmers also singled, but the inning ended when Brenda Beers lined the ball back to Krijgsman, who then turned a double play.

The Talent Team added another run in the second inning when Damishah Charles led off with a single and scored on an one-out single by Eva van Knegsel.

Krijgsman retired the side in the third inning, but saw the Talent Team reach base again in the fourth. With one out, Damishah Charles walked and Maxime van Dalen singled. Daniëlle ten Donkelaar then returned as pitcher and got two outs to end the inning.

In the meantime, Lisa Hop silenced the offense of Tex Town Tigers. In the second inning, Nadine Marinus reached on an infield-hit and stole second, but Hop closed with two strikeouts. In the third, TTT left runners on second and third base, then was retired in order in the fourth and fifth inning.

The Talent Team scored its seventh run in the bottom of the fifth inning to reach the mercy-rule run-difference. Wies Ligtvoet led off with a bunt-single and moved on a bunt-single by Onaisha Franka. After a double-steal, the bases got loaded when Rhowan Stuart walked, then Britt Remmers delivered a walk-off single to make it 7-0 and end the game.
