Twins and Talent Team split double-header

OOSTERHOUT (Neth.) -
In its second double-header of the season on Sunday (April 24), the Talent Team Holland again split.
A week ago, the team split with reigning champion Oolders Omaco Sparks Haarlem.
Today, the team split with De Glaskoning Twins.
In the opener, Twins scored six runs in the first inning and registered a 9-2 win in six innings.
In the second game, the Talent Team trailed 4-2, but then scored five runs runs in the seventh inning to win 7-4.

De Glaskoning Twins vs. Talent Team Holland (Game One)
The opening game today produced a lot of basehits, 25 in total.
Fourteen of them were hit by Twins, including three by Lieke Duffhues, Sandy Lauwers and Noor Godefroy.
Onaisha Franka registered three of the 11 Talent Team-basehits.
After a 15-minute delay due to rain, the game got underway and the Talent Team opened the score right away off of Kaitlyn Medlam.
The American gave up a lead-off single to Onaisha Franka, who then advanced on a wild pitch and scored on an one-out single by Maxime van Dalen.
With two outs, Isa Los also singled, but two runners were left behind.
In the bottom of the first inning, Twins answered with a 6-run rally on four basehits off of starter Cheyenne Scheffer.
Minke Blok (infield-hit) and Lieke Duffhues led off with singles, then Sandy Lauwers followed with a 2-run triple and later scored on a passed ball.
Next, Sophie Bugter walked and Michelle van Bodegom reached on an error.
Again, a 2-run triple followed, this time hit by Noor Godefroy.
With one out, a force play-grounder by Mandy van Alebeek accounted for the sixth run in the inning.
The Talent Team got one run back in the second inning.
With two outs, Britt Remmers doubled and went on to score on a following single by Onaisha Franka.
Ismay Poot added another single and the bases got loaded when Maxime van Dalen walked, but three runners were left behind.
In the bottom of the second inning, off of new pitcher Mandy van der Maas, Twins also scored and left three runners behind.
Sandy Lauwers and Sophie Bugter led off with singles, then Michelle van Bodegom reached on an error.
With the bases loaded and two outs, rookie Nina Oomes delivered a runscoring single, but hereafter, three runners stranded.
In the remainder of the game, the Talent Team was held scoreless, but it reached base each inning and left seven runners behind.
In the third, Eva van Knegsel singled with two outs, but stranded on second base.
In the fourth, runners were left on first and second base.
In the fifth, Van Knegsel again singled with two outs, but this time was left on first base.
And in the sixth, Britt Remmers, Onaisha Franka and pinch-hitter Wies Ligtvoet (bunt) all singled to start the inning, but were left behind.
Twins left four runners after the second inning, but then scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to reach the 7-run difference.
The bases got loaded when Michelle van Bodegom, Noor Godefroy and Kate Geldof all singled.
With one out, the runs were when Mandy van Alebeek and Minke Blok both walked to end the game, which lasted almost 2½ hours.

De Glaskoning Twins vs. Talent Team Holland (Game Two)
In the second game, the Talent Team again opened the score, but trailed 4-2 after six innings, then turned the game its way in the seventh inning by scoring five runs.
The Talent Team scored its first run in the top of the first inning off of starter Sheila van der Tang.
Damishah Charles led off with a single, moved on a sacrifice bunt by Britt Remmers and a grounder by Annemiek Jansen, then scored on a single by Laura Wissink.
In the third inning, the Talent Team added another run.
Lead-off hitter Annemiek Jansen was hit by a pitch, then Laura Wissink singled.
Moments later, Jansen was caught stealing at third base, while Wissink moved to second base.
The latter then advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Isa Los, but two runners were left behind in this at bat.
Talent Team-starter Lisa Hop allowed only one batter to reach base in the first three innings, but then ran into problems in the fourth.
She walked lead-off hitter Lieke Duffhues, then gave up singles to Sandy Lauwers and Sophie Bugter that loaded the bases.
Hereafter, Michelle van Bodegom also singled to bring in two runners and make it a 2-2 tie.
That led to a pitching change, as Daniëlle ten Donkelaar took over.
She began with a wild pitch that gave Twins a 3-2 lead, then gave up a runscoring single to Kate Geldof.
But hereafter, the righthander followed with a strikeout and a double play ended the inning.
Trailing 4-2, the Talent Team struck with a 5-run rally in the top of the seventh inning, which were all unearned as the Twins-defense committed four errors!
Annemiek Jansen, Laura Wissink and Isa Los reached on three consecutive errors, which led to a run and made it a 4-3 score.
With runners on first and second base, Kaitlyn Medlam was brought in as reliever for Sheila van der Tang.
The American already had thrown six innings in the opener.
With one out, Eva van Knegsel reached on the fourth error in the inning, which produced two more runs and put the Talent Team ahead, 5-4.
With two outs, Wies Ligtvoet walked, then Damishah Charles followed with a 2-run triple that made it 7-4.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Daniëlle ten Donkelaar retired the side to complete the come-from-behind victory.
