Terrasvogels vs. DSS (Game One)
DSS struck early, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning off of Malou van Dusschoten, who went the distance for Terrasvogels. Noa Brand led off with a triple and scored the first run on a following single by Annemiek de Rover. Hereafter, Nathalie Gosewehr was hit by a pitch and the two runners advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Morgan Sampson. With two outs, both scored on a single by Australian Belinda White, who advanced herself to third base when an error followed. Moments later, Denice van Dijk walked and White went on to score the fourth run in a steal-situation.

DSS was held scoreless by Van Dusschoten in the next four innings. Terrasvogels turned a double play in the third inning on a line drive by Denice van Dijk. In these four at bats, DSS left four runnners and was retired in order in the fifth.

The Haarlem-team then added a run in the top of the sixth. With one out, Dominique Burger tripled and scored on a 2-out single by Noa Brand.

In the first five innings, Terrasvogels was limited to only three hits by Dagmar Bloeming, who struckout eight batters. Terrasvogels then scored five runs in its last two at bats off of reliever Quincey Catsburg, but the comeback was too late.

Trailing 5-0, Terrasvogels scored twice in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs, the bases got loaded when Jessie van Aalst singled, Lizzie Clarijs was hit by a pitch and Jessica Waasdorp walked. A single by Lisa Waasdorp and walk for Sanne Korpel brought in the two runs, but then three runners stranded when a flyout ended the at bat.

DSS added two, much-needed insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning. Nathalie Gosewehr led off with a single, but was forced out on second base on a hit into centerfield by Morgan Sampson. Hereafter, Areke Spel singled, which was followed by an error, enabling the runners to move into second and third base. Singles by Belinda White and Denice van Dijk then lifted the lead to 7-2.

Terrasvogels staged another late comeback-rally in the bottom of the seventh inning, but ended up short. With one out, pinch-hitter Rhowan Stuart was hit by a pitch and moved on a wild pitch. The bases then got loaded when Kimberly Jones and Jessie van Aalst both walked. Lizzie Clarijs followed with a 2-run single. A throwing error on a grounder by Jessica Waasdorp re-loaded the bases, then a grounder by Lisa Waasdorp narrowed the deficit to 7-5. But two runners stranded on second and third base when another grounder ended the game.

When next batter Denice van Dijk delivered an RBI-double, a pitching change followed. Nienke Verhofstad took over, but got the bases loaded when Dominique Burger walked. A single by Melissa de Greef brought in the next run and made it a 7-2 score. DSS then left the bases loaded when a flyout and strikeout ended the inning.

In the top of the sixth inning, DSS rallied for eight runs on seven basehits. The rally began with a 2-run single by Areke Spel. Later in the at bat, Dominique Burger delivered a 2-run double, which was followed by a runscoring grounder by Melissa de Greef, 2-run triple by Nathalie Gosewehr and RBI-single by Morgan Sampson.
